Is this bong good to smoke salvia? Links included

Hello!

Just looking for a little help with my purchase, as I am inexperienced in this area. I was just wondering if this bong would appropriate for smoking salvia. It's called the "Small Waterpipe".
I heard that salvia is best smoked with a "water bong" so I went looking for bongs and I was surprised to see there's about a trillion to choose from and I have no idea really what a bong is or a water bong, or if this is the type of water bong I am supposed to get. So again, I apologize if this is a noob question, but there is just so much info and so many bongs out there, I figured I'd just ask specifically if this is the "water bong" that I am looking for. If not, I am looking to not spend a lot of money, and any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!!!!

That one will work just fine. I like to keep a separate bong for smoking psychedelics from my herbal smoking bong/ pipe. I find with salvia that it is good to put the bong DOWN as soon as you get 2ish good hits in... things can get strange fast and many many bongs and pieces have been shattered due to massive salvia rips.

Happy wanderin. Salvia was my first truly intense psychedelically disacoativish experience. If your open to it you may love it or at least be amazed, bong rips can produce extreme hallucinations.

I could never breakthrough with a small bong, not matter the extract amount. It always took a normal sized bong(18 inches) full of 40x+ smoke to completely breakthrough and have the full experience, but it could vary.
 
and just keep inmind that salvia is heat activated so use of a torch lighter is recomended
 
yeah i wouldnt buy a bong just to smoke salvia, mabye go over to a buddies house or make a home made bong.
 
be sure to use a torch lighter (blue powerful flame)!

take a few (1-4ish?) large tokes and hold them in for as long as possible.

salvia is something that i meditate before for a long while, its one of the most intense compounds on earth for me. make sure you are prepared for a 'breakthough' type experience, its different for everyone, but you may discover some knowledge that is there waiting for you ;)

Thanks everyone. Why does the size of the bong matter? I thought you just suck up whatever you burn, and it wouldn't matter how long the bong is. I choose to go with this one http://www.grasscity.com/acryl-bong-colored-1.html , which is 7.1 inches. Under $10, so it's aight. Can I use ice in it? And yes, I plan on heating the fuck out of the salvia with a torch. Do I keep the torch on the herb as I'm inhaling, or do I inhale only after lighting the herb and removing the torch.

At the time I made my post, I actually didn't know that a bong is the same thing as a waterpipe. lol. I spent hours looking for products that only had the name "waterpipe" and not bong, thinking that a bong was something else.

It was also difficult trying to choose which waterpipe to buy because EVERY SINGLE review for every single waterpipe/bong, the people are all saying, "this bong hits so hard!!!!" or something similar. Really, every single one, almost a thousand bongs and the reviews are mostly all the same, from the cheapest to the most expensive. So ultimately I really didn't know what to get.
 
Because the bigger the bong the more concentrated smoke you can force into your lungs to send your swirlin!

hi. Thanks, but just curious.... why would the smoke be more concentrated in a larger device instead of a smaller one?

It's not that it's more concentrated it's that you get more smoke that is thick and concentrated at once

I will do that as well, as I ordered both dry leaves and extract (waiting for it). Why do you say chew it? I hate smoking, but the reason I ordered the extract for smoking is bc I've never heard of anyone getting to really high levels from chewing. Can you attest to the power of chewing? Did you achieve high levels from quid?
