Long story short, I got this from a friend and it looks somewhat like San Pedro's my other mates have but I'm no expert in the whole cactus field.. I just starte doing some research on San Pedro's

It doesn't look like mine. The points look too pointy and the top not domed enough. But I have a limited experience of a few plants, someone else may have much more experience and it may just be a variation.

Looks very close, but I also don't have much experience. I've seen soooo many variations of that plant, it's ridiculous! The last plant I had was similar to yours, and it was not psychoactive, or if it was, it did not have a high amine content. Such a bummer!

Any real San Pedro cuttings I did have, I killed, because I wanted to trip so badly. I suck :( Next time, I'm not sacrificing the whole plant for a trip!

I cant see the color real well. Does it have kinda a blueish film/tint over the skin? It looks like san pedro, but u want to see that blueish tint for sure.

I had a half a shopping bag of them. And none grew tall like that but they were all picked wild in the desert. The large ones were only 5" tall but 6" wide and a darker blue and purple through out the plant. I had to edit my post, I had peyote buttons. I had to look up your type to see what San Pedro was. It was 37 yrs. ago that I was out west and got the ones I had. I remember they really tore my mouth up. Like eating to much pineapple.

Unfortunately I'm going to have to close this, as ID threads are against the rules here, because a blurry image + "sorta looking similar" can be enough to warrant people attempting to ID things for you and that can lead to bad advice.

If you still need help IDing I'd try a forum dedicated to Cacti where the people know what they're doing and can tell you proper procedures to ensure what you have. :)

If you do get it IDed elsewhere I'd really try get some better less blurry pictures, even if it means borrowing someone else's camera. It's really hard to do any sort of ID when the pictures are blurry.

Closed.
