Opioids Is there something wrong with my friends opioid receptors?

First things first, my buddy weighs 170 lb, is about 6'2" and a male.

He's wanted to experience opiates properly but always seemed to have atypical experiences. Having tried an OC 80 once and completing it within 12 to 16 hours, with maybe a good 8 hours enjoyable mild buzzes (rationed it out over time for safety, buddy was opiate naive and always pretty well is due to long durations, like months, of time between his being down to try them again for some reasons or others), he realized that was a hefty amount and decided to try other opiates. Experiences varied, but all were similar in their seemingly surprisingly large doses.

This experience:

This time, he plugged (decided to bite the bullet that way as it's the best method available as he isn't down even for doctors giving needles unless absolutely necessary) 4 mg hydromorphone, 120 mg morphine, and 5 mg nitrazepam. He also took 75 mg diphenhydramine as well in the hopes it would even further potentiate the effects, but those were orally and about an hour and a half to two hours in.

Should his allegedly attained effects be mild but pretty comfortable relaxation? He said it's nice, but that he wishes he had purchased more because he feels like it could have gotten fairly good with some more to push it farther.

Anyways, from what I've told you does this seem seriously abnormal to you? A previous enjoyable experience was 180 mg morphine plugged, which was fairly nice but also left him feeling as if the effects could have been more desirable had he had more to add to the dose.

Any feedback is appreciated, and thanks for reading!

I don't understand how you're not feeling anything in such high doses. 4mg dilaudid plugged should feel great, and that you took 120mg morphine on top of that with a heavily sedating benzo and still didn't get effects.... I don't understand, something is wrong here.

180mg morphine plugged is much more than a substantial dose.

How are you prepping your solution to plug? What form of morphine are you using?

One possibility that comes to mind is that in the likely event that your using time released morphine like MScontin (and by your dosing, I would guess you have the orange 60mg tabs) you could be powdering the pill and then adding it to the syringe and plugging it, which does not defeat the time release.

You should try ( at a much lower dose to test the waters ) letting your powdered morphine ER sit in the water solution (in the syringe is fine) overnight, for at least 8-12 hours to allow all the morphine to be released by time. This will yield instant release morphine, and I'm sure you wouldn't need something crazy like 180mg to feel good.

I don't have this problem myself lol, I could speak in the first person if you'd like but that'd be at least if not more ridiculous than using SWIM, wouldn't it?

Plugging was done by crushing the pulls in a spoon, adding hot water, stirring it around and heating of the spoon with a ligher at the bottom to heat it up n stir again till it was all dissolved. Then, syringey thing and he left me for that part, but I take it it was done correctly as it's kind of hard to think you did it right if it wasn't although I haven't a 100% way of guaranteeing it as I didn't opt to watch haha

Bowels had been cleared before his work which was over like 2 hours before we met up, so like 3 hours + a 4 hour shift for a total of 7 hours earlier. Also said he couldn't accomplish one when trying before we met up.

Yeah, I edited my post read the last bit in particular. Did you just crush it, then plug it shortly thereafter? or did you let the morphine solution sit for 8-12 hours?

It was just crushed and after the water was stirred/dissolved, it was then heated to the point of tiny bubbling, then stirred again and... consumed. It's going pretty strong now. Either way, Demerol also didn't seem to work as strongly plugged as it should have either. Also was notably painful to plug.

No need to heat morphine, it will only destroy it.

You just need to let your morphine ( you still haven't said what kind you have ) sit in the (cold) water for 8-12 hours, I guarantee you'd be blown away.

When I plug 100mg MScontin, if I plug it right away I will feel nothing short of some anxiolysis. But if I let it soak overnight, I could catch a nod.

Oh, my apologies. They were contin, 60's with orangey peel-off coatings on a white pill.

Thanks for this help man, it's much appreciated. Is there any way to speed up that process?

Nope, the only way to defeat the time release is to let time release it :P wait 8-12 hours. What I do is every night I crush up the same [M] 60s or [M] 100s and backload the powder into the syringe, then draw up 1mL of water, shake, and leave it overnight, then in the morning, voila, 100mg instant release morphine ready to plug in the shower.

And these are the same m60's that are white on the inside and with an orange peel on the outside, circular somewhat thin pills?

I recommend people crush the morphine & let it sit in seltzer water for 6 to 8 hours.........the seltzer water should be clear. The morphine should be ready to plug & it will be powerful!

Perhaps the problem is with his membrane in his anus :p. It's likely the time release issue because that'll make 180mgs of morphine more like 25mg an hour or so, not quite the same feeling, but really I'd try using the drugs a different way if plugging isn't doing it... Insufflation, parachuting, and I don't want to advocate IV but he wants to be flying, that's what it may take...

IIRC, he's adamantly against needles, even when it comes to the doctor/dentist haha. Regardless, I wouldn't suggest or facilitate it anyways. The OC was insufflated the times it was tried, also a crushed MDMA+amphetamine pill was highly effective one time that was attempted. Plugged demerol I think also worked to an extent for him, in a higher dose.

Yesterday apparently a dose of 8mg hydromorphone was effective enough to produce what he figures is a nod for a while throughout the day, possibly aided by remaining morphine in his system?

Is sublingual absorption of opiates comparable to rectal, if one could bear the taste and texture of a dissolved pill in their mouth?

That's what I'll do next time they come around, thanks for all the help guys, I can't believe I was never active here before haha
