To all of you that live with day after day chronic pain my questions is have you come across anything that doesnt cause sexual problems???

fml im only turning 25 in a few months.

ive tried most things tbh. everything from opioids to ADs like cymbalta. im trying lyrica atm but ive already started reading bad things about it.

It's pretty frustrating for me AND the wife.
We have become quite imaginable latly.
I dont want to take anything as the side effects seem to be no fun,
I'll keep trying, thats the FUN part.
The fail? not so much.
I have Never failed to finish the race, NEVER.
It's humbling I tell ya.

paracetamol, ibuprofen, aspirin.

Of course these will only relieve the sharpest of edges that your pain has to offer I'm sure, but they can still be underrated...

I also have noticed how incredibly difficult it is to finish the race while under the influence of opiates lol.

NSAIDS, atypical antidepressants. Also different people get decreased sexual function from different drugs, one person might take a certain drug and get really bad sexual side effects, another might take the same drug and not get any. So you have to try some out and find what works for you. But you can ask your doctor to try you on drugs that are known to have few sexual side effects.

i've been using pregabalin on and off for over two years and cannot remotely complain about any negative sexual side effects, very much opposed to SSRIs (horrible) and SNRIs (also, but not quite as bad).

Haven't found an opiate yet that didn't have the shitty sexual side effects. Only reason I don't do them all the time. If someone discovered an opiate that didn't have it or even better work as an aphrodisiac they'd instantly be a popular person.Hence why Quaalude was called heroin for lovers, a strong downer that's good to fuck on.

I have wonder if the sex shit is caused by either opiates blocking the vagus nerve, which is involved in orgasm, or due to lowering luteinizing hormone, thus lowering testosterone. Maybe both? If it's from luteinizing hormone maybe there's something that could be taken to counteract it?
