Opioids Is there any way to get Buprenorphine off the receptors and out of the system faster?

As the title says
Is there any way to get Buprenorphine booted off the receptors and stay off?
I figure along with decreasing the half-life so the drug is excreted out of the system faster?
Hope the question makes sense. Any questions?
 
I'm not sure what you mean exactly... But, in the case of buprenorphine overdose, it is very hard to treat since the binding affinity of bupe is so great. Using nalaxone to get the bupe off your receptors is very ineffective. Luckily it is hard to OD on subs, but if an opiate naive person managed to OD on them it would be very tough to get them out of "the sleep"..

Maybe you can re-phrase your question, as I am not exactly sure hwat you wwant to know. Are you trying to ask what can you do to get bupe out of your receptors faster, so you can dose your drug of choice sooner, and feel it better? If so, I don't think there is much you can do that wouldn't cause you more pain in teh process.
 
I think the answer you want is to either snort the Bupe or take less of it. There isn't anything available to speed up Bupe's removal from the receptors.
 
Hes asking if he can get the bupe to eliminate from his system faster and as far as i know there isnt anyway to do that.
 
It sounds like someone has a drug test coming up... either that or you just want to get high sooner but either way, the answer is the same - practically speaking, no.

Sufficient doses of antagonists such as naloxone can out-compete buprenorphine and pull it off the receptors but it won't expedite the metabolism of the drug so it would require constant administration for the duration of the effects of the buprenorphine. Buprenorphine has a ridiculously high affinity for the opioid receptors and anything that 'boots it off' would only keep it off as long as the duration of what you took is (a couple hours for naloxone).
