That sounds like a really basic sine wave where they are modulating pitch/volume with an LFO. Its like a dubstep bass but without modulating cut-off freq. I don't know how to do that in Ableton, but literally any soft synth will generate sine waves. That was like C1 or C0, so very low frequencies, with the 'wumping'; being either shift in pitch or volume (it is hard to tell exactly what).

You could use the modern trick of generating bass line via long release of synthy kick. But that will fuck up when you go off beat.

the first one to me sounds more like a triangle wave almost filtered down to a sine. the second one could well be a pure sine. the lfo in the second one is simply on the volume, while the first one also has some modulation on the pitch on some notes.

any synth will do as long as it has no built-in hpf.

Do you eq much man ? Sounds to me that even with presets of similar sounds to the sound you want are not cutting it, therefore i feel you should go down the path of compression and eq of the sounds you want to generate, your after that mastered sound aren't you..? We all are but yeah try get good on the o'l equalizer and see what the results are, if you compress it and equalize it you should be on the right path.

Yeah, I would practically learn anything that someone offers to me. Getting to know those software on my own is not an easy takes and I'm far away from making a good 3 minute track. Mine are mostly 1 minute clip of repetitive stuff. Anyway, all what you guys says give me some hit on what I should look for.

Also the thing with audio and midi effects, I rarely get good result but EQ eight is on of the few I can use and get good result.

Another thing that i rush to understand is how I could make ex : the intro in 1 clip then the next part of the track and build the track like that rather then drawing every single notes to the end. Damn.
