Cocaine Is there a way to test cocaine for (pseudo)ephedrine/amps?

Hi,

After reading the "cocaine purification thread", I noticed many people said that cocaine usually isn't cut with amps, and a wash with anhydrous acetone should be enough.

Although I don't completely believe in that statement, I think that I may lost some coke in the process if I perform the wash 3-4 times (first with acetone, then with chloroform, etc), and not EVERY coke sample may have ALL possible adulterants. So, my question is: is there any way to test a coke positive for ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, meth, amps, etc? The EZ Test for MDMA should work (since those tests can identify primary and secondary amines)?

That way I could perform the wash (other than acetone) only when really needed. Thanks!
 
If you had some standards, or reference samples, you could perform a simple thin-layer chromatography test... you would just need some silica gel TLC plates and a non-polar solvent such as hexane (major constituent of gasoline).
 
dunno about testing for that, but u can do a cook back for general purity.....
 
Buy a urine strip test that tests for amps. Take the coke, then piss.
 
haha, thats such a good idea.... ud think if it was a small amount of amp tho, you might not test positive (if the blow did) and never really know for sure.
 
The bleach test will detect the presence of amphetamines. The details are in the Cocaine Purifiication Thread that you mentioned.
 
I just did the bleach test. Got some yellow/orange/brownish thing sitting on the surface. Anybody knows what does it mean? Thanks!!!
 
Orange sounds like a bit of amp. Obviously red and yellow makes Orange. Now the problem is do u have a small amount of amp or a large amount relative to the coke. The bleach test will only tell u if amps are in the blow not how much. But it looks like u at least have small amount of an amp.

That's exactly what I thought. This sample gives me much more anxiety then I expected. My heartbeats are also increased more than usual, and my body's temperature is higher than I expect from coke.
 
Since its Orange I would go out on a limb and say there isn't much amp. Only problem with that is u could have a 1 to 1 ratio of coke and amp. It's hard to know. If u are worried about amp being in ur coke u would perceive ur heart beating fast anxiety and other side effects. Not saying that its not happening but if u that worried u will notice a lot of things that may always happen on coke or the side effects may not be happening at all.

You're right. I'll probably perform a ethanol anydrous wash and test it (if I can find the ethanol). If I do so, I'll post the results here later.
