Go to your inbox, scroll to the bottom of the screen, there is an option to download all of your messages.

Thanks. Do you know is there a way to save them to MS Word?
Saving them to Notepad majorly screws up the formatting

I think you can choose from three different file types? If it's all scrambled, try opening in a few different programs maybe. Sometimes documents come out looking like the matrix in MS Word, but they appear fine in internet explorer or notepad or a PDF reader.

moderators and former moderators in good standing (Bluelight Crew) have expanded inboxes, but if getting a larger inbox is your sole motivation for becoming a mod you probably wont be a good fit and probably wont last long (so you might get demoted without getting the Crew benefits).
Sent PMs are also saved by default, so sort through those first to try to slim down what all is saved; anything that definitely needs to be saved can be downloaded as XML, CSV, or plaintext, and the links for that are down at the bottom of the pm box page
