My own curiousity.... For what purpose?

i have had very annoying IBS-D for the last 10 years after getting VERY sick in India, which is apparently quite common.

Drugs that stop IBS-D symptoms (pain, diarea, discomfort) are Immodium, Clonidine, and 5HT3 antagonist like ondanstetron, alostetron (spell?), ect

But clonidine makes me very sedated which is not good as i naturally have very low noradrenaline levels anyway, so i wanted it to help my IBS without making my brain even more sedated.
