Is the site a scam?

went onto a casual dating site that xpected me to pay to message members. There were 2 quite attractive girls and a load of older women who "messaged" and "liked me".

I tried to make contact by inserting my email onto the site through meme generator on a picture of myself but got no replies. Is this because the site's a scam? Or maybe just they didnt know what was going on

There was that scandal last year of that website that was hacked, the websites premise was married people looking to have affairs. Anyways, it was found that even a website like that was mostly bots. There were/are actual members on most of these sites but they are mixed with bots. If you aren't a full member, the initial messages you are getting are definitely not actual members and are there to entice you to join.

The site may be legit, it may not be legit. It does sounds fishy. Maybe try a dating site that DOESN'T require any payment? Like a dating app? GL.
