is the high from ecstasy similar to speed (adderall) or is it different?
 
Completely different... I hate speed, I don't get any euphoria or empathy or nothing. I'm just a wired mess who doesn't know what to do, apart from to wait for that horrible comedown... I hate amphetamine.
 
IMO you get some of the same things with speed as MDMA. You feel alert and get some ekstra energy and a resonable moodlift, but it's not even coming close to the loved up happiness feeling from MDMA.
 
totally different mate its another high alltogether no lovey dovey feeling or super efurioa or anything you do get diolated pupils and jaw clenching from it tho wich are simmilar
 
It's not totally different. It's like speed with some added things to make it even greater and unique (some refer to it as "magic" I guess). If you take enough speed you get pretty euphoric. It's not the same but you can see some similarities in that way.
 
Right, speed with an added psychedelic property to make it special. You contradict yourself.

How much shorter acting is it anyways? OP suggested in comparison to Adderall, which with IR is about a 3-5 hour experience as a whole. You find MDMA muh shorting lasting? It's "rushy feeling, but in a completely different way"? So rushy feeling, but not speedy? Can you draw another comparison?

I find that both make me more talkative than usual, and by that same extension more interested in what others are saying. My only suggestion was that if you take enough Adderall you can see that some of the euphoria from MDMA is derived from its stimulative properties. I don't consider that to be a bogus claim.

I only like speed in low to medium doses. While the comedown sucks, the high is so clean, pleasant, and horny for what it's worth. One of my favourite drugs aside from mescaline (and I haven't done MDMA).
They definitely have similarities but if you analyze it you will see it's completely different, and also speed is much less 'deep' in some ways. Although it does seem to be a little less bad for you than MDMA, which will dismember you within 2 times use.
 
Adderall only keeps you up for 12+ hours if you're taking XR. Adderall IR lasts about 3-5 hours depending on your tolerance, which is the same timeframe for MDMA.

There is definitely nothing "special" or "deep" about a speed high, thats for sure. Euphoric though? Absolutely.

I never meant to suggest they were the same, just that there are some similarities.
 
I'd say there are a few similarities, but the general effects are quite different. While MDMA is psychedelic stimulant, a lot of people find (clean) MDMA slightly sedating.

Although sometimes when I am on speed at a rave, the music appreciation reminds of MDMA. Music sounds damn good on speed.
 
^^^ Definitely agree. I've had many experiences lounging around under the sun in my back yard extemely sedated from MDMA , however still quite talkative.

If you were unable to take ecstasy at rave for circumstantial or other reasons, I consider speed a viable option(In moderation of course... the amphetamine comedown can be horrific and like everything else gets much much worse the longer you let the high drag out).

You and me both my friend! If I found a bag of speed on the street now I would give it to someone who wanted it. As an aside, I actually did find about 4g of strong phet in my youth, which I split with a mate. We were still speeding 2 days later!! On the other hand, if I found a bag of MDMA, there is no way on this earth that I would give it away! Nuff said?!

Adderall IR lasts me 6-12 hours max, depending on dose. MDMA is active less than half that long. I took adderall IR & XR since I was 12, everyday. I think I'm familiar with the effects ;)

If adderall only lasts 3-5 hours, then you need to take a break or dose a lot higher next time.
 
I barely ever take Adderall. If IR keeps you up that long you're dosing way, way too high. XR is supposed to last 9-12 hours, IR 3-5, maybe even 4-6, definitely not 6-12. My girlfriend is prescribed and takes it daily, you're not the only one with experience in this. Your window of 6-12 hours is a little too big, and for that matter inaccurate.
 
Not forgetting the serious willy shrinkage and terrible comedown you get from speed. After a few months raving with speed I tried MDMA and it was so much better with less of a comedown, although now I think if I do too much MDMA I get a speed like comedown when the heart and mind are still racing but the body is exhausted. I remember reading a Mixmag article in the mid 90's that described speed as 'weedkiller for your brain'

If I take a regular prescribed dose, your window is closer. But who on here does that? A threshold dose feels more like a coffee buzz than an actual 'high' you know?

If I want to get high I'll dose like 50-60 mg, and that will last 8-12 hours.

XR = IR for me man. I crush XR up and snort. Not as many binders/fillers as a tablet IR press, and doesn't burn..
