Is Syrian Rue really dangerous with certain foods?

Well, I hope I'm right, but from what I've read, this whole "dangerous MAOI" thing isn't true. Many people say that it's an RIMA, and only inhibits MAO-A or something like that, and it doesn't actually interact with food. There's plenty of people who take Syrian rue without the 'necessary diet' and are in no danger. There seems to be so many mixed facts about this and it's never discussed whats true or not. So is it reallynecessary to follow MAOI diet restrictions when taking Syrian Rue. And don't just assume yes, I'd like some educated answers for this.
 
Ditto..I wouldn't push it, but no real worries..McKenna actually did a study on this..drank beer, ate cheese and stuff after a huge ayahuasca dose..
I agree totally about drug interactions, I got pretty sick after mixing something on accident with harmalas, reglan, I think made me very very ill for several long hours
