Misc Is Strattera similar to Adderall

Strattera is an SSRI, and Adderall is a stimulant. Strattera isn't recreational, although some do find it helps with treating ADD/ADHD. I found that strattera put me in a tense/irritated mood and depleted my appetite to next to nothing.

^ Correction, it is an NRI - it selectively affects the reuptake of norepinephrine, not serotonin. It has no recreational value.

Adderall isn't even in the same class since it's purely a stimulant with dopamine/norepinephrine releasing action.

Don't try to get high on Strattera.

yeah you're right, I was thinking of my lexapro :\

Strattera is atomoxetine, a drug to treat ADHD but it is not an amphetamine stimulant like Ritalin, Focalyn or Adderall.

Strattera does not make you high. It is a drug that has no recreational potential.

There are many drugs to treat ADHD, but not all are recreational stimulants.

As stated above Straterra (Atomexitine) was initially thought to be an anti-depressant, being an SNRI (selective norepinephrie reuptake inhibitor) like venlafaxine, although the latter has a SSRI bonding also, I believe.
It found uses in treating ADHD, but doesn't respond to most people in this regard, from various forums I've personally read, about 25% state
beneficial effects.
It can be used in conjunction with SSRI's (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) and doctors will generally use this as a first stage in treading ADHD, with comorbid Depression as a first line solution to each condition.

Strattera is the punishment prescription for if they find out you abused the normal medications. It is a placebo with side effects at higher doses.
