Is rolling "like being a kid again?"

So I have heard that rolling is like being a kid again many times when I hear people try to describe it. I think that it's an odd way to describe E, but I kind of see where it's coming from because I guess I sort of have one childhood memory that almost kind of sort of relates to the feeling of rolling. Does anyone actually remember feelings from their childhood that remind them of rolling? It seems like a ridiculous way to tell someone who hasn't rolled before what it's like...

It's like being a kid in the sense that it's a completely new experience, and makes many old feelings feel fresh, new and exciting. That's how I see it, anyways.
 
I think, "being a kid again" is a fairly accurate analogy. More over, a kid with severe ADHD.

This thread reminds of EDC of this year; on the stairwell leading from the Main Stage to the smaller stages, people had a hard time not stopping for conversation, or to look at the stage, or passing lights, which in turn led to mass overcrowding. People were walking all over each other! It was hilarious from a distance.

I would 100% agree its like being a kid again. Some people may think different. But to me and my mate, we act like total kids.

Some of the shit that pours out of our mouths - a 6yr old would think were sad. Hehe but yeah I think it does personally.

Examples of it would be:
* Funny sounds you make with your mouth
* Child imagination / thoughts
* Way you talk
* Sometimes the way you dress (to rave or event)
* Using Pacifiers for your teeth grinding issues

Many other stuff aswell, but thats just a few of them hehe.

The only thing I can think of is being really happy and excited.....for no reason.
 
.. feel like a child? In a sense.

A small child has little to no inhibitions, and says what he feels like saying at that instant without hesitation, just like when you're rolling.

And like serotoninstorm described, the feeling of new experiences can parallel that of a child going through the same thing.
 
my first handful of times on MDMA

It MOST DEFIANTLY felt like being a child again!
 
For me it makes any emotion I feel much stronger. In a sense it makes you feel like a kid because everything seems so fresh and beautiful.

your right though, real love has more depth and is more liked to insecurity and longing rather than a feeling of drunken bondedness=D

tripping is much more like being a kid again than mdma.
imo a better analogy would be: rolling is like being in love with the whole world.
 
In my experience it definitely is, in certain ways.

Do you remember when you were a kid you could do anything you wanted that was fun, there were so many fun things to do and you just wanted to do them, all day, and grownups were so boring and even though they could do anything they wanted they only chose to do the boring things...

For me, taking ecstasy reignites the feeling of freedom to do anything you want, the freedom to have fun, there are no boundaries, no reasons not to do anything you might want to do.

But don't get the impression it makes you deluded or makes you think you can have fun by flying out of a window or something stupid like that, you're still completely grounded and, with good rolls, very clear minded.

i was happy, i dident have to worry about anything

XTC i think.... is the best drug* out there....

i just wish it dident kill your brain..
or else i would be doing like 4 daily
 
YES!! in so many ways. My first 10 or so times rolling were all on really pure molly, and the experience most definitely made me feel like a child again. During these rolls i had instances of rolling around on the floor, playing on jungle gyms and playgrounds, wrestling with friends in a fun way, and just a general lightness of body and increased strength and flexibility (i did 50 pushups in a row while high, and i don't usually do them). The joy of motion was among the most memorable.
 
first time rolling i went to a elementary playground 8o it was the best time i ever had i did feel like a kid again and i couldn't stop smiling when i was on the swings and going down on a slide was the funnest thing ever
