Is Phenazepam good for anxiety?

I like benzos, not for recreational purposes, but for anxiety relief. I don't want to go through the whole pain in the ass of having to go to a psychiatrist and getting a benzo script, so would phenazepam be a good alternative?

Be prepared to be lectured on how: "Benzo's are not the solution for Anxiety as they lead to a downward spiral and make it worse in the long run". I'm sure Phenazepam has anti-anxiety qualities, although I have never tried it personally. Every other Benzo seems to help, so I don't see why Phenazepam would be the exception, do you?

Edit: After reading Sekio's post, it's worth noting that any other type of Benzo will probably do a better job. Temazepam is another not-so-good one, in my experience. But, that being said, I wouldn't NOT take either if I was having a Panic Attack or a bad case of Anxiety.

If you're looking for a readily available benzo non-Rx then you're best going for etizolam. Phenazepam is probably the last thing I'd use for anxiety. Very long time for come up. Stupidly long half-life. And it really only puts you to sleep, even at 1mg doses. Avoid imo.

It may be a lecture but it's true.

Even in very small doses?
Yes

My friend consumed what we considered to be somewhere in the region of 200mg+ (i dont know how pure this stuff was) he was hospitalized and didnt wake up for nearly 4 days and then when he was released from hospital he didnt really know what the hell was going on for about 2-3 weeks!

I agree...AVOID.

Do that with 200mg of Xanax and see if the same doesn't happen. That's no reason to avoid a drug, because someone took like 200x the recommended amount and something bad happened. A friend of mine tried to kill herself on a combination of Xanax and Valium and didn't even have close to that equivalent dosage, but still was gone for days.

And yes, that lecture may be annoying, but without some serious self control, it's often too true. I don't like being the "I told you so" person, however, so I try to stay clear of telling people what to do with their own lives unless they have asked for my personal opinion. Not that anyone has done that so far, that's just me venting.

Also, I have heard good thing about Etizolam, so by hearsay I can vouch for it over Phenazepam, if you've got the option of either... I feel your pain when it comes to Psychiatrists; they are such a chore sometimes, and it's hard to get them to fully understand why you opt for a specific drug. "Someone on Bluelight said..." has never worked for me.

I think you may have an anger management problem and you have greatly misunderstood me.I also didnt call your 'lecture' annoying.

I wasnt refering to my friends Phenazepam overdose as scaremongering it was just a story that i felt was in the vein of this thread.

As for Etizolam i have tried it many times and personally i find it extremely overrated. Many other disagree.

Peace.

phenazepam is great for anxiety if you have self control. I've really fucked up with it a few times. Use it sparingly, not an everyday thing and do not dose multiple times per day, have someone else control it who isn't using it, make sure you liquid dose... and make sure you put it in a safe spot so that you won't lose it and so that no one unintentionally finds it. I have terrible anxiety, especially in social situations and even a low dose of phenazepam turns me into an extrovert.

If you end up using phenazepam to get high everyday then you will certainly run into problems, but if you use it once a week or a few times a month, then it's no more dangerous than valium imo, except in high doses, as you'll black out far faster on phenazepam than valium. I'm always on the fence as to whether benzos are effective long term for anxiety, studies show different things, some show it is damaging others don't, some show benzos lose their efficacy as anxiolytics, others show that is not necessarily the case. Either way, be careful with it, very careful. Etizolam is probably better suited for anxiety but phenazepam lasts a very long time which I like. Benzo withdrawals are awful so avoid dependency at all costs.

Haha? What are you going on about... I'm high, happy and quite calm indeed.

I actively made an effort to let everyone know that I was just venting my thoughts, not referring to anything said, particularly in an angry manner. How you diagnosed potential 'anger management' issues from that I don't know; but you really jumped to conclusions, and couldn't be more wrong.

And why are you making excuses about your story? I never said it wasn't relevant, I just pointed out that it's a bad example to base your opinion on. I also mentioned my friends experience; because it's in the scope of this thread, and was similar to yours. People could really get the wrong idea if they didn't know better, especially as you never said you weren't scaremongering. Surely you can see how it's much easier to get scared by your story rather than take facts away from it, right?

That's not que to argue either, I'm just letting you know where I'm coming from...

As for the Etizolam, I'd like to try it myself. I can't imagine other Benzo's being worse than Diazepam (my current script) for Anxiety. I don't even take it, for this reason, it's purely just "feel like a rock" in a pill for me, without many positive benefits.

I know it's stupid and someone will probs tell me off lol. But I eyeballed some phenazepam and took it this morning...Used a fork so there was literally a few grains on one of the fork bits.
No real anti anxiolytic effects...jus feel very tired and sort of in a haze. Will probs end up going to sleep in a bit. It's giving me a killer headache too.
Need to get equipment for liquid dosing and then I'll be able to make a proper judgement.

^ yes that's not exactly the best way to dose lol, just don't redose, it takes a long time to kick in fully, you'll probably wake up and still feel it. It's not euphoric like other benzos; I find it more medicinal, to get the euphoria you're going to be towing the line between complete blackout and recreational fun. hopefully you don't end up posting in 3 days saying you can't remember a thing, it's happened to me even with liquid dosing. It works great for general anxiety though, if you have a panic disorder then something like etizolan/lorazepam/alprazolam is far more effective. Phenazepam really chills me out; I am a long-acting benzo type person though, some people prefer xanax while I love klonopin, it's mostly personal preference and probably has something to do with what kind of anxiety you experience.
