Is Opiod withdrawal easy?

I've seen people "Dope Sick" before. It looked like the person had a bad case of the flu. They could do nothing, but lay there and vomit over and over again. After witnessing that I said to myself that's one drug I'll never try.

I did do a taper and get clean once in a way that surprised me it was so easy though.

I did it perfectly and only missed two nights of sleep and had zero other symptoms other than a wired caffeine feeling

This was done but cutting down fentanyl matrix patches smaller and smaller over time. Easiest dope kick I’ve ever seen I didn’t even imagine it was possible.
 
I can't sleep when withdrawing. The restless fucking legs kill me and that's the worst symptom I get. Never managed to go past day 2 of cold turkey because of the not sleeping/RLS. Even if I take pregabalin and benzos I'm still lying there awake and wishing I was dead. I have to stay in bed barely drinking water and not eating anything because I don't have the energy to even get up. I toss and turn continuously because of the RLS, driving my partner crazy too.
I can deal with the rest but RLS is a nightmare for me. I can't take it. If you've never felt it you can't understand how horrible it feels.
 
Anyone ever got this weird sensation a few days in like your blood is basically champagne? ...
or lemonade or whatever's fizzy?? I would feel like my blood was somehow fizzing. 😶

Only on benzo withdrawal and that’s the point I got myself to a doctor.

The RLS never left me after my last time... that was 15 years ago. I've been taking generic Requip called ropinirole since it became available. I hear what you're saying about RLS being horrible, and as long as I take the med, it's almost completely gone... almost.
