Is Naprox Safe For Oxycodone Potentiation?

Ive read that taking Naproxen 20 minutes or so along with Tonic water (Quinine) before orally ingesting Oxycodone helps with potentiation, is this true?

At what doseage, as ive read 330mg and ive also read 880mg which seems quite a large difference to me, ive also read that it has some nasty side effects! I have Naproxen in 250mg tablets, the packet reads to take no more than 2 at any one time and no more than 3 per day.

Iv'e drank a large glass of white concentrated Grapefruit juice, ate a Tums and im just about to take 30mg Dextromethorpan along with either 25-50mg Diphenhydramine or 20-40mg Promethazine, can anybody tell me if this is a safe combo and also what are the ideal/safe doses of each please? (Im always undecided about whats best... Diphenhydramine or Promethazine)

I know most people recommend Tagamet but unfortunately it's not available OTC here in the UK.
 
I find that naproxen provides little to no potentiation but it certainly won't hurt...

Personally I think promethazine is much better than diphenhydramine.

Il try 500mg Naproxen... Would 25mg Diphenhydramine + 20mg Prometazine be ok to take together?
 
naproxen is an NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) so should help with pain killing in duo with the oxy. it's not going to potentiate it.

i'd stick to either one or the other when it comes to dph or promethazine, you don't want to sedate yourself to where you just fall asleep, do you? overdosing might cause a delerious episode and make thing uncomfortable.
 
Thanks people, i skiped takin the Naproxen, but i did take 25mg Diphenhydramine + 20mg Promethazine.

Luckily im quite tolerant to the sedative effects of 1st generation antihistamines, yet saying that il never take more than 50mg of either Diphenhydramine or Promethazine.

I had a nasty incident a couple of years back where i unintentionally overdosed on Doxylamine, i took 250mg and it wasnt fun!
 
the doxy would have just knocked you out, it's doesn't initiate delerium and hallucinations as promethazine and diphenhydramine. i'm not saying it wouldn't have been fun but you wouldn't have been "tripping".

Yeah i said 'it was'nt fun'

With the Doxylamine i started low and gradually and slowly worked my way up as i bought it from a pharmacy on the advice it would help me sleep on a flight, it was'nt working so i just continued to up my doseage.

Any other recommended potentiators?

Amitriptyline? How does Oxy mix with Tramadol?
 
you're playing around with a few "potentiators" at the moment. why not become more acquainted with the oxy high alone before going combo crazy? i personally like to keep it simply oxy when i go that way, nothing adds to the euphoria except more oxy. you're really just adding sedation to the mix and masking the full euphoria created.

Yeah i know what your saying but ive been using Oxy for a good 2 years or so now and have built up quite a tolerance and for much of that time i didnt play around with many potentiators but now i feel i want to try more potentiators to safely increase my enjoyment and possibly keep my tolerance from increasing too much.

I read DXM, Magnesium Citrate etc are good potentiators with the added bonus of keeping tolerance in check.

Unfortunately Cimetidine (Tagamet) is not OTC here in the U.K so i was recommended Ranitidine (Zantac) as a substitute, can anybody vouch for this?

I take hydrocodone and I expierence to reaction when I take zantac with it. I do not think it is a potientiator.

How about Magnesium Citrate/Gloconate? Iv'e read that they increase the euphoria aswell, i already use dextromethorophan, but ive since read about Nyquil cough which contains DXM + Doxylamine, (There are also other Nyquil products which contain Paracetamol which id prefer to avoid if poss) so id guess this kills 2 birds with one stone - increased potentiation/possible non-tolerance increase.

I think il leave the Zantac also.

I usually use Diphenhydramine or Promethazine and sometimes Chlorphenamine as my choice of antihistamine but i sometimes wonder if they may decrease the euphoria...?

I read about certain tricyclics increasing euphoria/sedation, naimly Trazadone, i have some Amitriptyline, would this be safe/good to take?
 
how does it extend the duration of the oxy? have you got a source for that by any chance?

i was under the impression it would be synergistic. i've little experience and knowledge aout amitryptyline.
