Hi just wanting some advice as to wether my patner is snorting speed, we been together a year & he admitted he did drugs before he met me, I don't use drugs & I made it v clear 2him, we went out for the night & hiz mates once again offers him a line of speed. He refused saying u no I don't do drugs & he had told them not 2 offer or do drugs when I woz there but they never listen, any way he turned it down a couple of times & when he thought I woznt looking he took the line!!! I eoz devastated & walked out we split for a while he said he woz sorry he woz stuipd & it woz 1st time since he been with me & he don't no why he did it! Well I don't belive him & I think he still doin it when he with hiz mates he came home the other night constatly touching & rubbing hiz nose after he been with them & then to days later it woz like living. With somone with a split personality he is moody & I feel I am walking on egg shells, he is on anti deppresants & mo maybe it's just them making him poorly I don't no but I don't trust him if he will snort when I am there he will any time won't he? any advice would be great
I'm a speed user and have been for about 6 years, and have a ton of experience with boyfriends who do drugs behind my back (even tho I do them too, but I don't hide it from them.)
Anyhow, I hate to say it, but maybe he is doing it. Speed is a hard thing to not do once you've done it. More-so than coke, I think. (I hate coke.) But I've dated guys who did both. You can REALLY tell if he's losing weight, sleeping a LOT less (or taking more meds/drugs to make him sleep, even drinking more, cuz that calms you down if you're on speed.)
Has he always been depressed and moody? I am on Prozac but I quit taking it cuz it made my libido DIE completely, and I feel no different not on it. He may be different tho. But anti-depressants usually don't start making a person act really differently.
I have to hide my speed and drug use from 99.9% of everyone I know so I know the tricks speed users have. Really, look for the fast weight-loss, pretty tough aggression, WEIRD sleeping patterns, changes sexually (like he totally wants it more, but then can't easily finish and goes for way too long), not eating normally, sweating more, dilated pupils, and if he IS using a lot more than you think, look for strange paranoia that wasn't there before, and just different behavior.
I mean, drastically different.
A couple lines every week or two does NOT have a real effect on people, and usually the immediate effects are pretty much over within an hour at most if someone's just occasionally using a little.
But if he's using regularly you think, or a lot at once, then look for the things I mentioned.
He may not be doing it, maybe he is uncomfortable or feels guilty cuz he did it in front of you, and that may keep him from not doing it again, really. But if he thinks it's not really a big deal, he might, so just keep an eye open...

Thanx for your reply, I am so confused@ mo I no he used speed before he met me & he knows how anti drugs I am & to so it when I woz sat there just shocked me but he swore he ain't before or while he been with been with me but hiz mates are all heavy drug users so I no he offerd it a lot! I don't think he does it when he stays @ mine but when hecwith them I think he does he goes out hiz way 2 tell them I am ain't drugs, hiz behaviour is hard 2 judge he had an oparation yr a ago & woz put on tramadol but took him self off it because of the way it made him feel but is on strong pain killers, & that & anti deppresants is wot I put hiz mood down 2,
some times youll smell a bad smell, like nasty ammonia, dead give away
