A field of dreams
Just tested some incredibly nice looking orange vw's with my old marquis. There was no colour change at all. I tested it against sugar, and still no change. The marquis is a pale beer type colour, so I assume it ain't good!

OK, my marquis is like 5 years old, now, and I've just ordered some more.

But should I expect it to be completely dead now? It's never been stored in a fridge or anything cool, just a drawer! Like I say, I'm pretty sure it's dead but I still expected a slight reaction.

Ta.

If it were 5 years old and not reacting to sugar I wouldn't be trusting it at all. I usually replace mine every year or so. Just don't go eating those pills till you test it with a new kit :)

When you get your new Marquis test some sugar and make a note of the reaction - colour change and time it takes etc.

That way every now and then you have a way of testing your test kit.

I hope your ordered your kit through the link at the top of Pillreport - we make a small amount of profit and you get a cheaper kit than EZTEST.

Thanks guys...of course I ordered it through you via BL :)

I'm sure it's the solution that's dead. These vw beans look some pretty mean pressing!
