Let’s just say I’m a bit of a pro when it comes to this And honestly you’re probably getting better product and people who say ratio this or that on bicarbonate are idiots. It isn’t sizzling or smoking because not enough base aka soda, you can use literally 2x the amount of bicarbonate and only the amount necessary will attach to the molecule the rest settles in water after cooling as long as you don’t re heat and stir. It takes me 3 min in a measuring cup and microwave total start to finish for a whole 28g. As much water as I want more the better in this case as long as it isn’t too high to boil over. But I heat my water 30sec, add mix stir quickly with fork or small whisk, back in mic for 20-30 sec and take out and stir vigorously you’ll notice the oil glob top and bottom. Here’s the important part, take a fork with a small Dab of dish soap and barely touch water on spots where oil is still floating. It will drop instantly because soap cuts grease and water. Then stir and stir until oil tiny bubbles that quickly form back to one solid glob, no pour hot water slowly until just a bit over top left and continue to lightly swirl mix keeping it moving and splash cool not cold water on top preferably down sides of cup it will quickly harden into disk or whatever fun shape you may have at bottom, then end. Literally ready right out of water
