Is my coke unsalvageable?

Right so two bad things have happened. Thank god it's only half a gram:

I left some coke in a "snuff bullet" for a few weeks in a cool dry place, during which time it has turned pink. The bottom of the bullet is made of brown glass, and the coke that leaked out of the bullet into the protective baggie I put around it hasn't turned pink, so I'm guessing that some sort of dye leached out of the glass (only plausible explanation I can think of, although I've never heard of dye leaching out of glass before). Do you think this could make the coke unsafe to consume?

Next, given the coke was rather moist, I decided to try drying it in the oven. I turned the knob to about 60c, and came back after about 10 mins to find a blackened mess. It looks kind of like sugar that has overcaremalised, but when you scrape away the top layer of blackness there is still some relatively undamaged coke underneath. Is this black stuff toxic, and would it be unwise to try to salvage the unburnt coke by, say, dissolving it in water?

I know you're probably thinking it's not worth going to all this effort for half a gram but partly I'm just curious about the chemistry of what has happened, so I'd be very grateful it anyone more knowledgeable than me could explain what has happened here.

Unfortunately I'm as well versed with cocaine purification as amps (as I'm primarily a "functional stim" user)...

But offhand I'm going to say your best bet is trying solvent extraction, freebasing it, solvent extracting again and then turning it back to HCL.

Are those later steps necessary? If I'm not set on insufflation, couldn't I just do a solvent extraction (i.e. water or alcohol) and then drink the solvent?

Next time you need to dry out coke place it with some grains of rice as this will absorb the moisture.. you can even keep a few grains in with the drug to keep it dry in humid weather. Could make that mess into a foily and see how that works out.

I remember back in my early days, I left some coke in my car where it got hot and turned into a blob. Since I only snrted it and didn't know any better, I thought it was useless. Now I think I could have saved it by dissolving in water and making it into a base form. I am not sure if that would work but I am sure someone will chime in here to confirm.

There's a reason there are all those microwaves found in the jungle coke labs. That's what is best to use to dry cocaine HCL.:\

The rice thing might be a good idea because I think I have heard that cocaine HCL is hygroscopic meaning it naturally absorbs water. The pink may just be from it absorbing water but again I am just guessing here and maybe someone else that has had it happen can give a better explanation.
