Stimulants Is modafinil comparatively safer than 2-fa as a funcitonal stim? and thyroidism quest

Pretty much as the title asks.

Both are fairly new substances in drug terms arent they however since modafinil is legal I imagine it has alot more research done on it, both before release and since so many more ppl will have taken it.

Thoughts?

Also my dad has hyper or hypo thyroidism, and i read that moda affects the thyroids, could this be a cause for concern? I dont have any thyroid probs but i wouldnt want some drug to set off some latent thing ive inherited.
