Is it 'wrong' to dance to music alone?

The uber competitive ego-dancing at clubs here in Austin :) has me dancing home alone all the time.
And since I have younger kids, we really do some funky shit. lol. Congaline style, until I'm collapsing.
 
If the tune is good I have to get up.
If I'm sat at the computer I usually just give it the minimal head nod/body movement.
A lot of drum and bass will get me up a raving/stepping/jiving whatever. Feel the beat.
On a side note, think how many good dancers or professionals practice alone. Bboys, pole dancers, ballet, anything, they all practice on their own at some point. You're not alone.
 
standing around plus good music often automatically leads to dancing for me. so as i have good music playing all of the time and cannot do the cooking while sitting, i'll dance most of the time when i'm cooking :)
 
Yes, it's wrong. You should be taken out back and shot for succumbing to such urges.

dancing at home [ alone or not ] will always be better as its easier to dance with no shoes on...as for solo dancing given enough drugs and an mp3 player i will happily stomp around the hills where i live doing my march / dance crossover...if the dog walkers give me a funny look i assume they are jelous
 
pffft i dance by myself all the time. In my room, in the shower, walking to Uni...fucking in the street with my ipod. Some times people dance with me lol
 
Hell no! I dance alone all the time, usually in the bathroom or whilst cooking. I cant do it out and about or in clubs :( I just get way to nervous, and stand there motionless fiddling with my hands :( STUPID ANXIETY. :( :( :(

why do you feel anxiety? i used to get the same way, because I was too concerned about what others would think of my dancing "skills." so i focused on becoming a "better" dancer, at least as far as technical stuff goes. I still think I am terrible compared to a lot of people out there, but I have fun and it seems infectious. just cut loose dude :)
 
Sometimes.. but i'm not a really good dancer, so it happens way more often when im high, i can then dive into the music and imprisonate myself in it for several hours :)
 
Dont worry what anyone else thinks. Dance is about joy and self expression. I did alot of dancing on my own. I communed with the throbbing pulse of the universe... now, I move like an illusion. Do what makes u happy

This, although I dance alone in all sorts of situations! But I really love just going about my day in the city and dancing with my headphones, not giving a fuck what anyone thinks...

not that it matters if i'm on a rave it's still just me and the wall of speakers :).
