Basically, what I was meaning was:
You weren't even using long enough, hard enough or a high enough dose of opiates to where you would experience any withdrawal symptoms whatsoever...
To jump from that to buprenorphine doesn't make sense in this case. You run a greater risk of becoming physically dependent on the bupe, with a much higher tolerance and a bigger "habit" than you started off with...
In your case, you'll still most likely experience very mild withdrawals, if anything
,if you just stop now...It was only four days, so I don't think that's enough to even have to worry about it....Two weeks would be a different story!
Buprenorphine is really only good for people with at least a moderate physical addiction...You go into it knowing that you'll be dependent on the bupe, and then taper down. Ironically, it's a very easy drug to get physically dependent on...
You'll be okay for now, but once you get a taste for opiates, it's difficult for a lot of people to shake..
