Is it true most coke heads are assholes

Ok no one get offended by the subject who does coke on a regular basis but i have question. I know quite a few friends, or used to be friends, then they started doing coke. They do it all the time now and they don't hang out with us any more, because they are arrogant assholes now. They don't care about anyone. And a good friend of mine her boyfriend was a cokehead and he turned into an asshole and started to just not give a shit about her.
Is this true that you turn into an arrogant asshole or not? Is just that it happens to some people?

coke doesnt necessarily make you an arrogant asshole. i wouldnt say its always the drug that changes one's character, its also the lifestyle connected to it and the people too..

I noticed people on coke tend to be on the nicer side. But then there are always those assholes who have enough money (Rock stars, Models, DJs and shit) to do coke all the time. These people tend to be ten feet tall due to all the yes men and brown nosers swarming around them.

As a former one myself I can say "Yes". Mabey it was just me or perhaps its what happend when you do ANY drug way too much. I stopped before it got TOO bad--no rehab required & I hadn;t eaten though a life savings. But I did become self centered, over emotional, conniving & restless, attributes nobody had ever associated with me before.
I won't bore anyone with how I caught myself--you just hit a point where you really know its either ease up, become an addict or go to rehab.
By the way KUDOS to Infinity (in the second reply to this post) who nailed this topic better than anyone else will.

i think it has to do something with the way coke affects the dopamine levels in your brain...just how E affects the serotonin levels and some get depressed from that...coke affects dopamine levels and some get agressive from that...but that's just what i think...

the only people i know who use coke regularly and are not assholes either
a) smoke pot regularly as well
b) do yoga [like every day]
c) do both
(it's not just your mind you have to keep straight when you're using a lot of coke. i find people respond a lot better to it when their body's in a fairly healthy state [rested, relaxed, etc] )

I can respect Good Coruptions theory, but personally I've never known a chronic coke head to be an asshole. Actually, I'd say GC's theory would apply even more to meth heads. I recall telling a friend that as much as I love meth I know it makes me evil. He said, oh no. We don't call it evil. We call it aggressive.
Still, sounds more a case of your friends liking the drugs more than the people. Since you don't do the drug they don't have anything to share with you anymore cause their lives now revolve around coke. The only reason they hang out together is the coke.
It's a bit stupid really. I mean aside from loving their drug, do you hassle them about their drug use. My friends and I are all drug fiends, but we each have our favorite drug. So, if we are partying together it's not uncommon for one person to be stoned, another in a k-hole, another amped up, and still another x'd out. I guess what I'm getting at is if all ya'll hung out together would you have a problem with them bumping up on coke all night?
