Is it safe to take Zopiclone and alcohol?

I'm not a recreational zopiclone user, but I do sometimes have terrible trouble sleeping. I've been prescribed some 3.75mg tablets, and they've worked well the last few nights. Unfortunately, I've just thoughtlessly had a couple of beers and now I'm worrying about a possible adverse reaction between the zopiclone and the alcohol. Have any of you guys ever had any experience mixing zopi and booze to any degree? If so, is it safe, at what point would it become dangerous, and does the interaction between the two drugs cause any unpredictable sensations I should know about? Again, the doses we are talking about here are two 330ml bottles of medium strength lager, and one 3.75 mg zopiclone tablet. Many thanks in advance.

Hey Syrio... Alcohol should be avoided when using zopiclone as alcohol and zopiclone enhance the effects of each other (as per Wikipedia).
People have reported really bad interactions like sleep walking and sleep driving when mixing the two which is why it is warned against.

I wouldn't worry too much if you've only had two drinks, although I would stop drinking alcohol to avoid any other side effects :\

When on Zopiclone even small amounts of Alcohol will have a strong effect. Alcohol + Zopiclone is infamous for causing blackout and disinhibition. Secondly, there is risk of respiratory depression and chocking on vomit while asleep
While 3.75mg is a small amount of Zopiclone, proceed with extreme caution consuming any amount of alcohol with zopiclone
