Opioids Is it safe to take these OTC codeine pills?

Hi everyone,

First time making a thread so I hope I'm doing it right! I'm trying to figure out if it's safe to take 30-40 of these OTC pills in Russia called Kodelak. I tried Googling the answer, but couldn't find any appropriate information on whether the ingredients aside from codeine are safe to take in larger quantities.

Here's what one pill contains:
8mg codeine
200mg sodium hydrocarbonate
200mg licorice root extract (Glycyrrhizae radiсes)
20mg Thermopsidis herba

So it seems like it would be safe to take 30-40 of these, but I can't find too much information on the herbal ingredients and I'm not sure their effect at high doses (don't want any benadryl type delirient effects or anything that could damage my liver/kidney's). I'm hoping some smart bluelighter with pharms could shed some light to keep me safe.

I cannot really help youm but good move looking into the other compounds,

for instance licorice can be toxic in large amounts,

so I would be pretty carefull, not that I am saying the amount you intend to injest is dangerous(or safe),

maybe try to get a different type of codeine product without so many other compounds or one with something you can use extraction on, bu maybe someone else can give a better answer.

I also found something called Terpinkod which has: (Codeine+Sodium hydrocarbonate+Therpinhydrate). I couldn't find much on Therpinhydrate except that it was banned by the FDA a while back due to ineffectiveness..?

Bumping to see if anyone has info on Terpinkod. Any Russian bluelighters want to shed light on other OTC goodies here? Is an abusable version of phenibut available OTC?

Have no idea about those russian otc codeine pills but im thinking it has an ingredient in it like acetaminophen and in large doses can be very very hard/toxic on your liver.

I personally wouldnt take 30-40 of those all at once, but if I did a CWE than I would, you might want to look into CWE (Cold Water Extraction) its what we do over here in north america, but im not sure if the ingredients in those pills would allow you to do that.

Nope..I listed the ingredients to Kodelak in my first post. I also listed the ingredients to Terpinkod, which is Codeine (8mg)+Sodium hydrocarbonate(200mg)+Therpinhydrat(also I believe 200mg per pill).

I have no idea about the safety of Therpinhydrat in high doses, but as you can see these pills do not contain any tylonel or paracetamol...

Therpinhydrat is Terpin hydrate, a supposed expectorant on the order of eucalyptol or menthol. Probably not very toxic, just unpleasant...

"probably not very toxic" is not good enough when dealing with, well...possible deadly side effects.
