Is it safe to shoot heroin if it's been in a syringe for a week?

As it has been exposed to the air for so long, it would have been exposed to more bacteria. Especially in warm conditions, the moisture from the water in the syringe could have made it a nice breeding ground for bacteria.

AFAIK, cooking heroin on a spoon will not kill all bacteria.

I think you should be alright though...... I wouldn't risk it personally.
 
People (myself included) do all kinds of sketchy things, shooting with month old needles, cooking up cottons that have been in the open for weeks...

You are probably fine, I wouldn't do it again though....
