Is it safe to shoot heroin if it's been in a syringe for a week?

I have a syringe full of dope that I have been saving for a while (I don't know why) and I wanted to do it.

My question is that is it safe to inject the solution as long as a cook it prior to injection???

I figure yes, but you can't be to sure with intraveneous activities.

personally i think NOT. best you can do is to let the solvent (saline or water i assume) evaporate and then add alcohol to the remaining H. let that evap. and then remix, draw up and shoot.
 
I ended up cooking it under etreme heat several times and shooting it.

What is there to risk?
I mean, when you cook it, aren't you killing all the bacteria and germs?

Now I'm worried...

It was more like 5 1/2 days. not a full week.
But it all settled to the bottom, so I 1)shook it and 2)put it in a cooker and added heat.
3)Let it boil then take the heat off.
Repeated step 3, several times.
 
^Sorry, I didn't mean to worry you. You are probably fine, I just said I wouldn't have done it. Bacteria is nothing to mess around with when using IV. Cooking it was a good idea, I wouldn't worry. Cheers...
 
I believe Heroin converts to morphine in water after a period of 24 hours, maybe I was wrong someone who can remember the exact number please chime in.
 
After a week it's going to be a soulution of morphine, not heroin. That said, if you squirt it out and heat it to boiling for a short while, that should deal with anything that might have been growing in there for the last week
 
I asked this question before, I was told there may be "heat resistant bacteria" present, If there was no blood in the syringe its less dangerous, but really not worth the risk id say.
