Is it Safe To order san pedro on the internet?

I have no intent of any sort of ingestion. I am from the southwest and I really like cacti, I have had a bunch with no sort of psychedelic alkaloids. I even considered a cactus christmas tree before. Bottom line... is it legally safe in the united states to order a san pedro cactus on the internet as long as its "not intended for consumption"? Also on some botanical sites where I looked to see if I could get some to plant for gardening only, I noticed they sell san pedro powder. Hypothetically if someone ordered that it wouldn't that be illegal? How likely is that to get someone arrested. Does it have some use not related to consumption? If not how do they get away with it?
 
The worst that would happen would be that they seize it. They ain't wasting time to go arrest someone for ordering a cactus.
 
As far as I'm aware San Pedro is not illegal itself, but if prepared for ingestion it would be. You can buy San Pedro (and Peyote if you don't mind waiting 30 years to trip) cacti perfectly legally in the UK and I'd imagine the same is true most places. I doubt you have anything to worry about and I'm sure you wouldn't accidentally consume your cactus anyway :)
 
Yes, I've purchased San Pedro cactus online many times. It is totally legal to buy, sell, ship, and own San Pedro cactus.
 
Yea, it's fine. Keep it domestic tho. Unless you want an opened package showing up at your door resealed with bright neon green tape exclaiming "INSPECTED BY US CUSTOMS AND BORDER PATROL".

Even with something ostensibly legal like San Pedro that would come under the sourcing rules, I'm afraid.

My experience with orderin a number of things on the net is that they will just seize it and maybe send you a love letter. San pedro is 100% legal so they will most likely not seize it. also you never have to worry about customs shipping within the states, just lost mail. also unless the authorities can proved you ordered that specific illegal substance they cant charge you for it because anybody can slap anything in any box with anybodys name on it and send it to them without their knowledge. dont worry bout san pedro at all you can actually get them *online*. you can even buy peyote if you look in the right spot i have found vendors that will ship but i wont say that because i dont want to be booted from the site.

Basically most websites that handle in grey area products or products that might be illegal in some countries will ship it but tell you that its your responsibility to know your countries laws

Yes, it is safe. Ordering/selling/possessing San Pedro cactus is completely legal in the U.S. Ingesting is not, but.. ya know..
 
I think this topic is pretty much exhausted so I'm gonna close it now. Basically, you have little or nothing to worry about ordering San Pedro so happy cacti farming :)

Just make sure you don't accidentally consume any cos that would be illegal ;)
