Is it possible to be slipped a psychedelic without knowing and have a good trip?

I don't see why it wouldn't be possible, but nobody really does this. As in being dosed unsuspecting of isn't really a thing, it doesn't happen.
 
^ thats a sweeping statement.
Its also untrue, it does happen.

It may well be possible to get spiked and have fun, but getting spiked and having a bad one ? The thought makes me shudder and i wouldnt wish that on my worse enemy.
 
I think you're far more likely to if you've had a psychedelic before. If you're a noob to psyches but not to drugs, then you've still got a decent chance and if you haven't done drugs, especially if you're against them then i think you're way more likely to have a bad trip.
 
Just over twenty-five years ago, I had my first psychedelic experience via some weed that was laced with so much freakin' PCP that as soon as I was done smoking the bowl, my desk turned into a glass sphere. It didn't take me long to figure out what was happening, but by then it was too late. Suffice it to say that among other felicities, I had an out-of-body experience whereby I could see myself from an upper corner of the ceiling as a blue sand dune laying on a bed of flames. Meanwhile, my sandy head turned into Gustav Mahler's. Upon recognizing this apparition, said head became filled with a vast sunflower. That cocksucker...

Yes, it is possible to take LSD without knowing and have a good time. But, with that said, it is unlikely unless you are experienced with LSD. Even then it can go VERY wrong.

I personally, would never give LSD to an unsuspected person. Unless, there is a mutual agreement that it's ok.
For example, one run on tour we would dose each other in all sorts of ways. But, that was agreed upon by everyone involved. It was all part of the fun.
 
my girlfriend's dad got dosed without his knowledge when he was younger (this would probably fall in the aforementioned 60's/70's range, maybe early 80's) and the experience quite literally TERRIFIED him. he was unknowingly dosed with what sounds like at least 3 good hits (going by the intensity of effects he described), and definitely had a bad trip...

imagine if you had no idea you took a drug, especially one as powerful as acid, and just started frying without any idea what was happening, when you least expected it, with no logical reason to explain what was happening too you (mind wont exactly be clear enough to do research w/o internet and go 'hey, this is acid'). the only logical explanations i would come up with are 1. psychotic break (which, if actually experiencing this, would be impossible to realize the fact) 2. dying 3. just met god. all 3 of these would be basically guaranteed to induce a bad trip... but thats just my opinion

i doubt its possible, unless someone were there to tell you what it was and help you understand what was happening/how to cope
 
Sure, its happened. Read about John Lennon and George Harrison's first trip (courtesy of their dentist friend slipping it into their coffee).

Cases I've witnessed spinkings in...

1. Fuckit (waterfall which is weed in a bowl on top of a plastic bottle where water is released from the bottom whilst the weed is burnt in) was spiked with salvia x40... My friend asked my other friend in school one day how long he could hold the smoke in... Was pretty funny shit...
2. My friend expressed a desire to try mdma but didn't want to willingly do it, so I spiked him at a rave and he had the best night of his life
3. A stranger at a festival handed me an alcopop, which I had seem him slip an e in (I knew it was mdma because was the same pills I had), I pretended I knew nothing and accecpted the free drugs ^_^
4. My friend I heard, was spiked with an acid blotter which was ripped into tiny pieces and slipped into their food lol

Each and every person here apart from the salvia immensely enjoyed their trip.
The guy spiked with salvia... Well... If you've smoked salvia you would know what happened lol

Exactly, it is something along the lines of rape: forcing someone to go through something that may be intimate or violent.

The only situation where I see this being okay is if you make an agreement with someone that you slip them something on a random day. They would not know it, but they would be in agreement basically.

I am extremely close to shutting down this thread, because it serves no purpose IMO but to try and justify something as a prank while it is serious and unacceptable.

First give me one reason why this should not be closed. Other replies will be removed.
 
There is no reason to leave it open, Sol. Spiking is not just highly offensive, even criminal, but potentially very dangerous. Although I was able to handle and promptly integrate my unwanted and unexpected PCP experience, my roommate didn't. He was so disturbed by the event that he dropped out of college less than a month later. He was a good student too... After a year "in the wilderness", he managed to get back on track, went to another college, and completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees, but still... Spiking is for cunts.
 
I don't think it serves much purpose. I just re read my post in this thread and realized I didn't condemn spikings. Slipping someone a drug is an insult to everyone who believes consensual drug use is a pillar of our argument to end prohibition. If someone slipped me or my friends something I would kill them. I thought I remembered reading The Altamont Speedway Rolling Stones concert had LSD spiked water supply, but couldn't find reference online, I could be wrong on that.

Are they common? No. Is it OK to be the perpetrator? Hell no!
 
that would be great if someone would slip me 10 hits of acid in an alcoholic drink :D it would be totally unexpected and blow my mind just that much more imo :P
