Is it possible to be allergic to bud?

Right i'm not sure what the crack is here really, but i've been noticing thesep ast few months whenever I grind up some herb, occasionally i'll have a little episode of my nose going all blocked up constant sneezes /etc. It's not every time and it seems to happen more if I get closer to it / move it round loads. (gettin tiny bits airborne i spose?)

But when I smoke it i'm fine, so whatever it is in there can't do it's damage after being burnt.

I Also broke out in hives once when I dropped some ground up bud onto naked leg, thats only ever happened once though.


I Just wanna know, is it possible to be allergic to it, and if yeah carrrying on smoking it won't fuck me up..right?
 
it IS possible to be allergic to anything.
allergic reactions to cannabis and its constituents do exist,
but what you describe sounds like hayfever to me NR.
 
Ah old hayfever, so long as I try not to get too close to my freshly ground bud I should be good?

It was just the hives on my leg that made me wanna post this, scared me hah.
 
you're not smoking stinging nettles are ya?
if it concerns you enough or gets worse, speak to a doctor.
this is indeed strange.

everybody's biological makeup is different though, i guess..
 
I know a person who is allergic to certain nutes, more pronounced when taken through a smoked or vaped ROA. His throat closes up and he breaks out and has difficultly breathing, but he smokes cigs just fine etc.
 
drink a benadryl 1 hour before grinding and smoking, then you would have a nice buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
 
Yup, it is possible to be allergic. I knew a kid who broke out in hives when people were smoking around him. And he had earlier found out the hard way that he was allergic via a quick trip to the emergency room...Biology can just fuck you over sometimes, I guess.

but yeah, when i went to jail and the cop lady was takin' my clothes she sneezed and asked me 'do you smoke'? guess she was allergic.

they shoulda had her out there actin' like a drug dog. if she sneezes there's drugs!
 
I have this too. If I bust up weed with my fingers and touch my neck or my face, I get a brutal rash on my neck and my eyes get insanely red and itchy (not from smoking). You can test it by rubbing a little piece of bud on your side or something. I got a hive right there when i tried it.

like you, no problem to smoke it. and I am fine if I wash my hands right after rolling.
