Is it possible MDMA has actually helped with my depression?

JWills positive thread? Finished got gang raped in a dark alley hahahahahaha

JK FINISHED!

The amount of compelling arguments like a game of fencing oh touché fool haha but yeah it's been a worthwhile read. Tbh I saw this thread again I'm like OMFG THIS AGAIN!!

Haha, the debate about MDMA will never end really. It's hard to deny that if you get the dosage right with MDMA, you can have an eye-opening and beautiful experience, without the guarantee of a comedown or negative effects. So yes, it could certainly help someone with depression. If I ever felt depressed to the point of suicide, I'd probably take some MDMA as a last resort to try and change my emotional well-being. There's no other drug out there that can place you into such a clear-headed space of temporary euphoria like MDMA.

It just needs respect and to be treated properly.

When I took MDMA it really helped with my repetitive thoughts and OCD, that was causing my bad social anxiety, but my depression and anxiety in general was like 100x worse than I've ever had before. Maybe it's possible you're just convincing yourself you're depressed and telling yourself negative things everyday. If you want to try something, I'm not saying this will end good or bad, start taking MDMA, like 5mg every day like a depression pill and see how it works. 5mg re-dosing every day is hardly even one dose in a month. Try it for like a month or so and then see if it works, I'd be interested to see.

I was genuinely depressed, going through cycles of severe depression broken up by periods of moderate depression. The mdma experiences broke this cycle I think. Maybe it will come back or maybe the mdma had nothing to do with it. I think it did.

I dont have any interest in self medicating with mdma like that

It's absolutely possible! I have had a lot of healing experiences with MDMA and I know a few people who claim MDMA took them out of their depressions.

However...

Keep in mind that while that may be the effect you are getting right now, that could flip at any time and you could find MDMA making your depression much worse, especially with over use or abuse. So be very self aware about this. You could find the results differ in the future, especially if depressive episodes are a continuous occurance for you.

@F1n1shed: MDMA definitely IS neurotoxic, that's a fact. But, so is alcohol. It's all about moderation.
