Is it okay to take Tramadol and Remeron 10 hours apart?

I took Tramadol today at 4PM. 50mg. I took it because I was coughing and I had some supply. But I'm going to sleep at 2AM tonight and I need 45 mg of Remeron to sleep. Is it okay to be doing this? I really did not want to take the tramadol but it was either that or robitussin. I have no codeine left.

you should have about half of the dose of tramadol still lingering
one of the biggest concern mixing those would be serotonin syndrome but that would be in high doses
....your remeron dose is the max dose
i would hold out a few more hours just in case

The half life of Tramadol is around 6.3 hours, so you would have some of the dose remaining, but you took a relatively low dose. You can drink fluids to flush out your system faster.

These medications have a moderate interaction, including serotonin syndrome as mentioned above. Your best bet is to wait at least two more hours so you have a lower amount of Tramadol in you. If you can, try to take a lower amount of Remeron if you can't wait.
