sure, why would you want to mix a sedative and a stimulant tho? are you tryin trip off ambien and are taking the ritalin to stay up? im just curious, why that combo?

This combo in my eyes seems strange too, then again people speedball don't they.
I'd imagine this combo to feel scetchy though and not enjoyable, I don't know from personal experience of mixing the two but thats what I would assume as I have had both seperatly.

If your line of thinking was doing an upper and a downer together, realize that ambien ain't a classic downer it's not really euphoric and overall ain't fun.
Yeah, as for as safety you should be fine. I was on Ambien for a while and man let me tell you I was so fucked up off of 10 mg, almost every night I took it. 10 mg by the way is the maximum clinical dose. I had a prescription to Focalin as well (very similar in chemical structure to Ritalin), and it did very little, but that was only at a clinical dose ( I cannot speak for experiences on recreational doses). The idea of mixing a depressant and a stimulant seems a little shady, but if you stick to a fairly low dose of both you should be fine. By the way, expect not remember anything if your taking over 10 mgs of Ambien.

from my experiments any uppers with ambien = bad shit
I've experimented with ambien + coke and ambien + wellbutrin and both I didnt really come up with good outcomes. first time with ambien (10 mg) and coke (half a gram) I ended up just pretty much wide awake and blank and than passing out in the shower.
second time I halfed the amount of ambien with the same amount of coke and I felt like I had just taken a load of datura without the whole body feeling like I was just hit by a train thing
lots of hallucinations (mainly of people)/a slight talkative mood but while making no sense at all
than ambien (10 mg) with wellbutrin (500 mg) turned into a complete train wreck, it began with me heading to school, getting amnesia of what happened to the ride there (apparently I stared at my mom the whole ride saying "momma? momma?" and than went to the wrong classroom which had noone in it and just sat in there for an hour till the school priest who is alright with my drug use brought me back to the right class and checked up on me every now and than
he eventually brought me down to the office and had me sent home where I passed out for the rest of the day
from everything I've gone through with it, I'd just stay away from ambien

in my experience, I used ambien + coke extensively for a while and it kinda took away the 'jitternes' and anxiety of coke and gave me some of my best nights (very social, relaxed, energetic, that typical 'i don't care attitude' that ambien gives you).... but now I just hate how ambien makes me feel.
I did take it with ritalin also (snorted) but can't remember the effects (d'oh), but it's not dangerous imo

What? Omg that's priceless. But yes never combine uppers with ambien. Atleast if you get tired you'll somehow wonder off to bed or asleep but with uppers and you take to much then you'll wonder around for hours with no recollection.
Atleast lock yourself inside or have someone watch you incase it happens to be one of those ambien horror stories to where you start driving or some shit. You only gotta worry if your unexperienced though.

Ambien plus Ritalin
Interesting combo. Would have never thought about it til I was presented with the opportunity tonight. I was feeling some rit. Just ate some before I got home. Then I drank some whisky courtesy of our neighbors to the east and north. When offered an ambien, I relented at first. I thought it would totally ruin my focus that I had, especially watching an NFL game I was into. So, my bro finishes his dope beef stew, coocked in a dutch oven and I chowed down. Afterwords, he slips me an ambien. I go into my room and line up a rid. Bang bang, it's gone...my last one. I go start to play FIFA and I'm feeling it...anticipating passes...seeing the open man...at half time. I punish that ambien. It cracks open, with it outer shell. I shave it down to two lines and hoark them back. Yes, it does burn. But no more than a Vicodin (which has no need to be snorted). I go back to the pitch. I hear the fans chanting in the stands. I think this combo has mellowed be out with keeping me focused on what I need to do...what I need to see. I see no reason not to try the combo. It may not be for all. It's certainly is possible. I've done a ritalin/ambien IV combo. It was weird but it had a bit more the the feel of clarity to it than just IV ambien itself.
I sometimes mix zopiclone (similar) with dexedrine, though I prefer to do it orally. It increases the (minor) hallucinations. It takes away from the restlessness and impatience but it will also dampen your concentration. Especially if you have a low tolerance to ambien, that stuff will completely suspend your ability to concentrate for an hour or two. If the dose is low, it isn't especially dangerous. I don't recommend the combo, it's much better to take the Ambien many hours after taking Ritalin.

A friend of mine says zopiclone and cocaine is his favorite high. Although he can pop 15mg of zopiclone and shoot bag after bag of heroin and stay awake and functional/talkative/etc, so I don't know how good of an endorsement that is for most people, haha. Personally, if I'm even a little bit tired, just 3.5mg of zopiclone or 10mg of Ambien knock me the fuck out, I don't think doing methylphenidate or coke or whatever on top would even keep me awake.

I was prescribed both of those once (Ritalin during day/Ambien at night) and I tried taking them together and it was nothing interesting. Different then combining Ritalin with classic downers like benzodiazepines. I'd rather just take the Ambien for the comedown of Ritalin...which is a pretty shitty comedown.
