Sorry I didn't know what section to put this in. Basically I was on Citalopram for 7 days before deciding not to take it (wasn't prescribed it or anything just had a traumatic event happen irl) anyway it's now been 16 days. Do you think it's safe for me to take 100mg 5HTP a day now? Or should I wait longer.

Try it out. Taking 5HTP supplements aren't so dangerous. I took 2 of large ones always before ingesting NBOMes.

Maybe.

Why did you self medicate on SSRI's?

Thats pretty silly TBH? SSRIs typically take 3 weeks+ to take effect.

Noramlly people on SSRIs report little or no effect positive on MDMA.

The fact you have decided to self medicate on SSRIs makes me think you'll be the sort of person to read things on the internet and respond.

Please dont read the long term comedown reports on here. The power of suggestion is very powerful in certain people........maybe you?

Yes it's fine to take 5HTP. Sometimes 5HTP is prescribed with an SSRI for helping depressive symptoms. It's perfectly safe and perhaps beneficial.

Indeed it was. It was a day after my father told me he had stage 4 cancer. I wasn't thinking straight hence why I stopped. Read things on the internet and respond? Care to elaborate on your judgemental thoughts? Heh.

Thanks. I read somewhere it can cause serotonin syndrome while SSRI may be still in my system so I'll start taking it in two weeks just to be on the safe side.

That's a myth that internet amateur neuroscientists throw around labelling it as 'HR'. MDMA is the most effective serotonin-releasing drug known to man and even MDMA can't induce SS on its own. 5-HTP & SSRI's are perfectly safe and numerous scientific studies have co-administered them together as a potential treatment for depression. Serotonin Syndrome is extremely rare.
