Is it normal after smoking a really small amount of weed, everything begins to move and it feels like your head is spinning and your eyes and head get very heavy? My friend recently experienced it and she wants to know because it freaked her out and she was a smoker for about 9 months.

Sounds like a bit of vertigo, it commonly happens when there's not enough oxygen for the brain going through the blood (i.e. holding in hits too long) but it can also have other causes. I'd have your friend measure her BP next time she feels this happening

Hypotension on weed causing diziness is common, yes. Just be sure to sit down when you smoke (or your friend rather). It's not harmful and is more common in novice users. But yes, it is common.

Weed is actually classified as a psychedelic with depressant, stimulant and hallucinogenic effects depending on the strain and dose.

this....but no that's not normal.....but as the statement goes....it's only weed....and you don't have to say your friend if it was you....we don't judge

I've heard of a lot of people having one-off experiences with weed...the common thread between them seems to come down to anxiety. To be honest, I think the majority of 'bad' weed experiences stem from psychological issues (not 'problems' but issues, whatever they may be).

From how you described it, with everything moving around her and her eyes getting heavy, it sounds like she had a rather dissociative experience, but not too traumatic overall. I hate to say it, because it's so cliche, but that does possibly sound like her weed may have been laced with something extra...of course, that's taking a huge leap of faith to even venture to say that, and I'm not trying to make it sound like that's what happened.

Perhaps it was just a very potent strain and she wasn't used to the high THC content...it's really impossible to guess at small details about a person's experience getting high on weed unless you gave us her full drug and mental history, at least in my opinion.
