Ask yourself is it necessary?
Is it?
What are you talking about? you're rambling again!
No not really, you know I' don't ramble. Not often out loud anyhow, so hear me now as I ask you is it necessary all these words you speak and all these things you do?
SAVE THE TREES, SAVE THE WHALES, SAVE THE CHILDREN, SAVE ANYTHING AT ALL, I'LL JUMP ON BOARD.
Right I'm here now, I've grown my hair and I got dreads but I got no soap and t-shirts with symbols opposing the open cut mine and the testing of warheads on my home soil.
WORK ALL DAY, NEVER ANY PLAY, NO TIME FOR FAMILY, ALL ABOUT THE DOLLAR, CUT THAT DEAL.
$40,000.00 in student loans and all ties cut from the old life, don't need that where I'm going. Armani suits in board meetings and corporate lunches and weekends away with the boss.
As a kid i remember a story of the yellow brick road and what a road it was!
Nothing but fun times, new friends and adventure without a worry in the world.
Honesty came cheaper than ever and I guess certain sense of moral fibre was the heartbeat of the story but thhey weren't the real characters.
No the real characters were that of courage, heart and a brain.
In this story the road went one way.
Non-fiction or fiction....................LIFE, make of it what you will at your own leisure or pleasure.
If a story is what you will the one road will get you there but not without these three characters.
Our world has grown immensely since that tender age and so has our road like river running into the sea fed from the mountains traced backwards.
As we grow older and start to climb the mountain we see all the roads we could have taken but ever only narrowing our choices until we reach the summit where we can look back and see every which way.
With our three true characters we can make it to the summit.
It is at the summit where you see everything clearly as you will ever see that you question the path you took as opposed the paths you didn't take.
Were your means to your end necessary?
Did you have to do as you did?
The oldest saying in the book rings most true.
LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP.
