Is it fentanyl or heroin?

SWIM has the opportunity to buy a gram "fentanyl" trough someone who has to go through someone, so questions can't be asked to the actual holder. The understanding is that fentanyl and heroin can both go by the name of china white so there may be some confusion, although what is being offered is being called fentanyl. The price for the gram of fentanyl is what would normally cost for about 3/8 of an ounce of tar. Which doesn't make sense if it's fentanyl because the understanding is that fentanyl is far more potent than china white heroin. No? So it leads one to believe that what is being offered is actually china white heroin and they are calling it fentanyl. I know this is sort of convoluted and speculative, bit does anyone have any input? Is this a reasonable price for either? I know the rules of the forum prohibit any actual price talk so I'm trying to get the idea across without giving actual numbers. Thanks!

Im dizzy reading your post. Maybe someone cant make sense out of it & another thing is, we cant possibly know what you're getting & anything else along those lines.
 
I just wonder what makes sense. If that is a reasonable price for a gram of fentanyl and a gram of heroin then there's no telling, you're right. But if that price range fits for one and not the other than that's what I want to know. Sorry to be confusing. Maybe someone can PM me and I can give more details.
 
Welcome to Bluelight! We don't use "SWIM" or even "SOWIM" here, so you can forget about all of that. ;)

I have never heard anyone refer to fentanyl as "china white" before, and my understanding is that a bag of dope may sometimes be cut with fentanyl and then passed off by dealers as china white heroin. It would certainly make the dope more potent, that's for sure.

But I can't help you with anything more than that. First, we don't have tar here, and I've never seen tar. I've also never before seen fentanyl. To be honest, the whole setup sounds wrong. If it's the whole friend-of-a-friend thing, I would forget all about it. In my experience, you'll probably end up with neither one.
 
Good heroin, as well as an infamous batch of alpha-methyl-fentanyl has been sold as "China White. The alpha methyl fentanyl was cut to be about the strength of heroin, but the cut was uneven, and a whole buncha people died from it.

Be extremely fucking careful if you get a gram of fentanyl, as even tiny specks of fentanyl can constitute a dangerous overdose. I would stay far away - if it's cut, you're getting ripped off, if it's not cut, you're likely to get yourself killed messing with it.
 
From what I gather this is the kind of thing you dilute in water, if it's pure, and draw from that. I think there is also a street form, that has to be cut, going around Seattle (my area) called shug. That is most likely what it is. As a gram of real fentanyl is enough to cut into hundreds, maybe thousands, of doses of "shug".
 
A gram of fentanyl is ten thousand 100 microgram doses. I highly doubt you can buy that much strong dope in one go from a street vendor without seeing some cuts.
 
As has been mentioned - this really isn't appropriate. In illicit drug markets, there is often ambiguity with slang and terms so one person may use 'china white' to refer to any powder while someone else may use it exclusively for a product cut with fentanyl. We
