Is it a myth that some drugs make you look more beautiful?

Yes, Belladonna, the common name for the plant Atropa Belladonna, which contains scopolamine, means Beautiful Woman in Italian. Women (I suppose it was not just prostitutes) would put drops of an extract in their eyes.

I don't know if the ladies in question would be feeling any psychotropic effects.

Belladonna is a hot pornstar actually haha... pretty famous one.

The majority of average people in western culture tend to be dopamine deficient, in that they don't make enough, or they do not react to it well. Dopamine agonists have the potential to make someone look Stunning as they will restore equilibrium by restoring full blood flow to the skin as in youth, which benefits hair. Changes in blood flow and sodium/fluid retention will positively influence the brightness of the eyes and the definition of the body. Puting certain hormone/neurotransmitters back into check can usually put the bodies beauty signal back on track and trigger a set of chain reactions which build up the effect in the body. Beauty = confidence/better blood flow = more effective excercise and ambition to do ecercise = more beauty.... There are many similar chain reactions which surround beauty and the trick is tapping into the deficiency.

When you look at A list celebs we all know about their intricate excercise and beauty regimens... what you don't usually hear about is their premium private healthcare where dedicated high-paid doctors readily check the levels of body chemicals and feely prescribe many medications off label to put the body back in balance. This off label prescription strategy is what sets private apart from public service. Dopamine agonists are not readily prescribed for conditions which may be caused by dopamine deficiency due to the potential for abuse/addiction/ overproduction of dopamine resulting is psychosis etc... Usually you will be prescribed an anti-dopaminergic drug by public health care which only makes your situation worse.

High Dopamine = Low Prolactin = high sex drive, stamina, and sexual pleasure = good sex = beauty = more good sex Another one of the chain reactions.

^^so in regaurds to this quote. (this is a serious question) your saying that taking like adderall will help make you beautiful?

your entire post is really interesting. mostly because freshman year, when i had tons of friends and felt great and was just a big ball of sunshine i looked amazing, no acne, didnt have to worry about weight, etc.

now ive got mad depression n my lifes gone to shit and all of that has changed.

i just think its an interesting concept:)

As a guy who used to smoke cigarettes (I don't anymore) smoking a cigarette makes you look sexy. It doesn't actually make your face physically change or anything. Its just hot, but probably only people who smoke think it is.

Thats an opinion. I think its unattractive

i believe any prolonged drug use will take a toll on one's looks.

however, i know from personal experience that when i do a line of coke my pupils become dilated, the whites of my eyes get whiter and i generally look prettier.

i've made it a point to photograph myself before and after. i look noticeably better/more attractive in the post-line pictures.

i completely understand that a person high on drugs could look sketchy/unflattering/out of it but i only do a small amount (less than what an average person would take) so i am still in full control of my actions and the way i am interacting with others/coming across to other people.

i realize it sounds bad but i love the way i look on coke.

here's a question. does anyone know of any supplements or vitamins that cause pupil dilation? ;)

This is an old thread but I thought I'd get my usual bit of pedantry in before it get closed to clear up the clutter!

Before we could answer this question we would need to define :-

1.) What we are deeming as Beauty - A very subjective matter

2.) What we mean by drugs - I think the OP meant recreational drugs but that wasn't specified so the whole question of flawed.

Its a fact that humans, particularly men find larger pupils more attractive but this is a short term effect from certain substances, however this could be said to five a yes to the OPs question.

You could stretch this out and say you have a nasty skin condition you take a drug and it goes away in physical terms most people would agree you are now more beautiful.

To add a bit of realism, anyone who has a drug addiction or abuse problem is highly likely to look worse than of they didn't, its going to depend on the substance but we all know drug abuse isn't going to be good for you. I hear what people say about cannabis and I smoked it everyday for 15 years but like so many I smoked tobacco with it, smoking anything is not a great thing to do so unless you have a different ROA I'd say even cannabis is going to have a negative effect over time .

Hehe. Nice post, atm. Sorry I'm closing this, but you know the drill.. maybe you should head over to P&S? :D

My friend aged about 10 years since picking up a speedball habit, everyone looks a mess when they're stimmed or G'd out, and I've smashed my face up at the mo after a wasted weekend, oops.. So no. Being on drugs can make everyone look purdy though ;)

Anyway. Closed :D

Tiare, welcome to BL and BDD! It's best to comment on current threads rather than bump old ones, or start a new one if you have a question. PM me with any queries :)
