That's a wrap, unless anyone has any significant information to add, in which case please PM me and I'll reopen this thread. But the current verdict/consensus is evident.

I don't know if my info is worthy of adding to the closed thread, but I figured I'd ask.
Major vasoconstriction happens during heavy lifting (the reason they sell all those 'NO Explode vasodilator OTC drugs), and hematocrit in lifters is much higher than average, like 52-56, which is nuts if you are not an endurance athlete. This is why you will sometimes see powerlifters with bloody noses while going for personal records. A lot of guys think it is hardcore, but they don't know they are slowly killing their kidneys and heart with all that stress.
A lot of these guys (the Bodybuilding competitors anyway, I don't know much about powerlifter drug use) rely on drugs (stimulants) to get cut for shows, very few of them do cardio, making their cardiovascular system very weak considering all the steroids, no aerobic activity, and the propensity for bodybuilders to party hard. The guys that have had close calls with health scares who were fortunate enough to stay alive made some major changes in their diet, supplementation, and training. There are quite a variety of diets, feel free to post and ask or PM me if anyone wants any details. With regular cardio, and these different diets, they have managed to completely fix their blood work (good cholesterol up, bad down, CRP down, etc. (and no stims or diuretics, especially non potassium sparing ones like Lasix). I feel that has killed more people than anything in BB'ing....dehydrate yourself to near death, then take a drug that promotes the loss of water, salts, and minerals (especially potassium) through the kidneys that are already stressed from massive doses of AAS and with some guys opiates and other recs. So even though I'm beating a dead horse, I just wanted to add some details to the whole process.
I trained Muay Thai with Dutch guys that did lines before weight training, and I doubt any of those guys lived past 30. Looked like their eyes were bulging out of their head training high in 105 degree weather.

(MANY competitive bodybuilders are former drug addicts and because there is so much performance drug use, it drew them to the sport and gave them a less dangerous way to abuse drugs and focus on something a little less negative). Some of them never get away from it permanently, you should see some of these parties, guys shooting blow, trading girlfriends, doing heroin, etc. Not to judge, but that is just crazy (the IV blow) even for an average man (and I'm not judging, I've done it), but these guys are massive and on grams of AAS and other PEDS that do not go well with blow.

Bodybuilders die of heart and kidney failure every year even without doing blow, It is much harder for the heart to pump blood through muscle than it is through fat. Factor in being huge, taking loads of performance drugs, weighing a ton, not doing cardio, and using diuretics to dehydrate the shit out of yourself for a show and its easy to see why they die. When my doctor told me I was obese on the BMI even though I only had 8%bf at 222lbs, 5'9'', I was a little offended. It wasn't until I learned holding muscle is even more hard on the heart than tons of fat that I realized he was actually right. Even though I looked healthy and muscular with abs, I was technically not healthy with regard to my internal organs.
Some of the more hardcore guys take so much steroids, they cause lethargy in high doses, so they do dexadrine all day just to get their work done. Their hearts must look 90 years old inside.

Its sad because I love the sport, and I hate seeing guys I'm fans of on dialysis and dying of heart failure.
Check out some of the bigger bodybuilding forums on the net and you will see tons of posts about guys dieing of blood clots and heart attacks. Don't add coke to that.
If you have any doubts, just google 'cocaine bodybuilding' and you will find a lot of interesting stuff.

And if you are going to ignore the warnings, go to get blood tests for clotting disorders. I know two bodybuilders that didn't know they had them and steroids almost killed them.... coke would have done the same thing.
