is homosexuality a choice?

I entertained the notion that it may be a choice until in my late teens I realized I was a bisexual male. I am comfortable with the fact that I prefer women, but at the post puberty sexual changes that occur for many people says something about the fluidity of human sexuality. For some sexuality may be a more simple matter that we can attribute to someone at birth, but I am inclined to think for different people it may be a combination of both nature and nurture.

I will say that it is impossible to take you seriously when you write like someone in primary/grade school. You might fancy yourself as a reasonable, clear thinking individual, but if you don't even have a handle on basic english and know the difference between "you're" and "your", when it is appropriate to use apostrophes, or how to spell "their," then why should people listen to what you have to say on science and ethics?

The only part of it that's a "choice" is the choice to be out of the closet instead of suppressing one's sexuality and being celibate or entering a straight relationship. The orientation itself is not a choice. Sure gay folk could choose to live a straight lifestyle, but that would be dishonest and miserable for everyone involved.
