is heroin really THAT good?

It is by far the best drug I have ever done, hands down. It's also the worst drug I have ever done... hands down. Heroin is one of those drugs that you tell yourself you'll only do every once in a while but ends up becoming a daily habit. I have never met someone that has maintained a casual relationship with heroin. Show me someone who can do it every now and then and in 1 year I'll show you a rehab patient.

I've snorted heroin, and to me its basically the same thing as snorting oxycontins with a little extra euphoria. To be honest, it wasn't THAT great. Obviously I felt great, but I would still prefer ecstasy by a long shot. I bet if I injected it it would be a different story, eh?

Why bump a 2 year old post, why not just search for the same topic that was posted this year and bump that. In any case, this question is like what was better seinfeld or Friends, some people think Friends, but anyone that has watched Seinfeld more than 20 times and watched it while high, they know which one is better. Seriously though drugs are like everything, they are relative. I don't think you will find too many people that prefer datura over heroin though, I might be going out on a limb their, but thats just my opinion. And I haven't even tried Datura. After trying gay sex, I realized the whole "I'll try anything once" idea really doesn't have to go so far. I stop at huffing gas and eating poisen to get high, just me though.

Stay away from it, H is that good, maybe not like you would think, but it will get you, I can guarantee this, you will be gotten by it. It is a fine feeling, being without any pain physical or mental, think about this first.......no physical or mental pain. Until you go IV you have no business posting about the effects of H.......like saying that eating pot is the same as smoking it.

You can't say that for sure. I've known many people that used heroin a hand full of times and just left it at that. Addiction doesn't sneak up on you, people just fall in love with the high and start using everyday and after a few days you have a habbit, and after a few months you have a gorilla on your back. Heroin and pain meds are really simular in how addictive they are, when you IV either one of them they feel a lot better but you can still walk away at anytime as long as you want to 100%. The problem is that junkies that stay strung out want to get high til the day they die, and when they stop wanting to get high thats when they clean up.

ok just a question on preferences, I have tried oxycodone, morphine, tramadol, hydrocodone and codeine and I seemed to like codeine the most out of them all. Keep in mind I tried codeine first and I have been back quite a few times since... but the thing is morphine and oxycodone just get me way to sedated, suddenly I can't think, sure im content and my brain is being bombarded with good thoughts, but quite frankly it bored me. When I started nodding it was interesting but for some reason the more sedated I get off the harder opiates the more frustrated I am by things and start longing for sobriety...

Is this a weird reaction?

Also is there any point trying H, will it really be that much better if I don't even like the so-called harder opiates.

Personally even though codeines alright (paticularly with weed and 5-htp, makes it kind of psychadelic) I prefer a good acid trip over almost anything any day. I just plain don't like coming down from a high and not feeling satisfied once i've reached sobriety.

I think i'm just a psychadelics person.

So tell me is H really worth it or will I have to find that out for myself?
Is it somehow different apart from being more potent?

Hehe. The great thing about acid is there is no comedown. There is, of course, the come *sideways*

Is is worth it? Yes, you will have to find out for yourself, since its all subjective. But if you decide not to, more power to you. Hmm, yes its more potent than codeine, but it is also different. IMO, its like all thats good about codeine and more.

Codeine also makes me feel a little queasy, which H doesnt.. but each to his own on this one.. there are some people who vomit at the mere smell of H (and still love it all the same)

I'd have to agree with you there. Oxy is pretty similar in effect to heroin(although i've never IVed it), but maybe with a little stronger euphoria. kisps experienced less nausea from oxy though.

Like I said it, I've done morphine, oxycodone, hydrocodone, poppyseed tea and tramadol

and it seemed the more sedating the drug... the less I enjoyed it... bar tramadol that was just plain shit

Oh yeah and I went through a small morphine withdrawel... that was shit, throwing up and muscles aching and strangely enough, It made me hate it even more, wanted to chase that high even less... If Heroin is just more potent then them all, I think i'll be fairly unimpressed. I guess I just don't like escaping, although sometimes its nice

Ive tried it, and loved it. But, I doubt Ill do it again. Something THAT amazing and loving that isnt quite as...tangible as a friend or car...kind of scares me. I think the movie "Trainspotting" depicts heroin a lot.

That movie actually made me want to try heroin for some weird reason... but at the same time i was disgusted at the thought of it and would rather swallow cyinide than try it...

After finding out that a very close friend had been smoking H last year, the other day, i was shocked, hurt, and upset, i would have never ever have known he had a problem (every day) if he hadnt told me. Hearing the pain in his voice explaining him sick on his bathroom floor at one stage, turned me off it completly. But the way i think...dont knock it til you try it... eh its just my sleep deprived humble opinion anywho!!

I've done every opiate/oid except for Levorphanol, Oxymorphone, and Ketobemidone (supposedly the best 3 besides Diacetylmorphine (heroin) ) and I def. found, that when I started sniffing bags of heroin here and there, that I liked oxy better......it just gave me more of an enjoyable high, and didn't make me as nauseous.....

That was 6 years ago, 1 years before I tried IVing it.....

I then realized that the whole time I was sniffing dope, I wasn't really doing it right.......Right at that exact moment, when my "smack buddy" at the time pushed the plunger in for me, I knew I was in for an upcoming junkie lifestyle, because it was JUST TOO GOOD not to do again the NEXT DAY I said to myself "This is for me..".....That's how that shit is, take it from me....a month later, I was shooting a bundle a day, and years later, much more....then it stopped becoming fun, when I almost died 3-times over and got arrested a few times......I've been clean for about 3 months now and feel great, but that allure of shooting dope will ALWAYS be there in the back of my mind....and who can really say if I'll never give in????

Just count your blessings now, if you've never been addicted to heroin, because you ARE putting a lot at stake if you start fucking around w/the needle.....trust me.....as FUN as it is........

wow - that is my exact life story, same timeframe , except I have been clean for 7 months now!!!!....everything tho..exact feelings ...exact amounts...wow are you me..or one of my "smack buddies"...huh...fuckin crazy

This is what I dont understand. After say a year or 2 of using H.. does it feel that good? I mean, I would have thought that eventually you get to a point where you are using it just to feel normal, plus for a hour or so afterwards feeling a tiny bit euphoric.

See, many people on this board think the only problem with opiates are there availability, but to me that argument seems like crap- cos once you get to the point where you need those opiates.. they cant be of much rec use can they?
