Is Heroin Orally Active?

Pure heroin is white. But if your heroin is white, it doesn't mean it's pure. :)

I've seen dope vary in color from brown to as white as cocaine. Most often it's a light tan color, which is real close to white.

And based on Lacey's location, I'm fairly sure she gets good dope, ham.
 
Why does heroin suck? Do you think it makes you feel bad?!? snort a lil bump of what you hav and figure out which one it is.
 
when both are taken orally, ketamine is more addictive than heroin.8) PLus heroin doesnt cause brain damage.
 
Heroin smells funny. Usually it's brown or tan, sometimes white, but never clear.

Ketamine can be assorted colors and such but I've usually seen it as clear or somewhat translucent.

Takes alot less heroin to get you high than ketamine. They also smell alot different. Heroin has that pungent vinegar smell to it and ketamine just doesn't.

Heroin is not "physiologically benign".

We know for a fact that at least morphine is a retardant to some degree. It can be and has been used to keep people in a constant vegetative state, eroding memory, learning ability, speech, and some studies say it is neurotoxic overtime. Just ask the Soviet dissidents that managed to live through the hell of being kept in Soviet psychiatric wards or the victims of the CIA during the cold war (OPERATION ARTICHOKE - morphine was used as a part of a large scale mind control and brainwashing project). 8)

What we know of the Soviet and American mass mind control and brainwashing projects is VERY little, but the little things we do know are disturbing. Morphine wasn't the only drug used, but LSD, barbiturates, thorazine, temazepam, haldol, and a number of other drugs have been used in such projects. They were used either to keep the "dissidents" in Soviet Union in a constant vegetative state - no joys, no sorrows, basically lifeless, manageable and completely obedient or they were used to completely brainwash and turn the "dissidents" into staunch communists. How about you read books like "The State Within a State: The KGB and Its Hold on Russia - Past, Present, and Future" OR Soviet Psychiatric Abuse: The Shadow over World Psychiatry.

Maybe you can do a little in depth research on the American counterpart of these kinds of things like... MK-ULTRA, PROJECT ARTICHOKE, BLUEBIRD, etc.

Even before the Russians and Americans, the Germans were doing these kinds of things in the late 1800's through to WWII (only difference is that not all of the above drugs were available to the Germans).

As far as morphine being neurotoxic, read these studies:

^the first one talks about ACUTE changes in dopamine. well OF COURSE a dopaminergic euphoric drug is going to cause acute changes in the dopamine system

the second one talks about alterations in the blood-brain barrier. lots of drugs and other chemicals have effects on it

neither title implies any sort of 'damage' that lasts after the drug has left the body so please provide abstracts
 
I doubt someone would lace ketamine with heroin or sell heroin as ketamine.

But heroin has a vinegar like smell... I've never done or seen ketamine in person, but I hear it's crystally like salt.

What both talk about is PERMANENT changes in BBB function and striatal dopaminergic transmission. This means DAMAGE -- brain damage.

I agree with the meaning behind your post, but I have to disagree with this quote in particular. Statistically, the MOA does indeed have an effect on the potential for addiction.

For instance, heroin feels MUCH better IV'ed than it does snorted. Logically, you'd be more likely to become "addicted" via IV administration than intranasal.

Now of course, while the "rush" from intranasal heroin is'nt as good as IV it's still a good high and the potential for addiction is definitely still there. Saying that "heroin is only addictive when IV'ed" is absurd. More likely, yes...but definitely not only.

crack and coke are the same drug, but crack has a much faster rush, which means it releases more dopamine at once, which results in a more intense flash of pleasure, which is reinforcing. Then, also the fact that it wears off quicker (ie: the high is *relatively* much weaker than the perceived rush) means that the action will be repeated over and over again. Doing an action that gives you a quick rush that only lasts 15 minutes over and over again is cementing a pattern into your brain that is much more intense than something where you take it orally, and it comes on real slow and then later on you're high for a while. Your brain doesnt directly associate the high with the taking of the drug as much as it would if you were shooting up. Either way you still crave the high, but the rush from injection or smoking becomes ingrained in your mind a lot quicker. And craving a rush is worse because it means you have to repeat the drug taking behavior more frequently and establish a harder to break cycle.

Addiction potential is all relative to a person's brain chemistry. For some people opiates float their boat, stimulants others, dissociatives for some, and a combination for many as well. I, for instance, was addicted to opiates but have done coke many times and not wanting to do more the next day, I have even quit during the night and let my friends finish it off.

So, you can't say one substance is more addictive than another substance because it is not always true. I know you said some people but it's hard to compare Ketamine addiction (mostly mental addiction) to coke (mental AND physical)

exactly it is much more fluffy even if broken down into a pwder. Do a very small asmount, like 2 or 3 match heads, and if you feel good its H, but if you feel weird and like you are in a cartoon, its K
 
YES it is but i think even less so than morphine (which is 30% bio). id rather eat morphine. this makes me think tho... if morph's intranasal bio is even lower than oral, wouldnt that apply to diamorph? if so you would actually get more out of eating it.
