please, one last time....was spot 3 a tiny hole? please, I was almost relieved until I read lsd324 saying " he still had a bit of hole" . What is this hole? Is spot 3 a hole?

My boyfriend had a tiny circular hole in his forearm. maybe, he used a needle of bigger size? Would we get a tiny circular hole if we use a bigger needle? I swear, please elaborate point 3 and I swear I will not disturb you all again.

To I against I : is spot 3 a tiny hole? It looks like one though...How soon after the injections was the left pic taken? Immediately after the injections or later.... I would really appreciate if somebody could elaborate point 3.

You must not be reading what we're writing.

It isn't a "hole" in the strict sense of the term. Its not a literal empty space in the skin. What you are looking at is skin that has mostly closed up around the actual hole, but has no been given enough time to heal up enough to look completely normal. However, if you use your handy dandy reasoning abilities and compare pic one, taken yesterday to pic two, taken today, you should be able to see that hole three has closed up to look like the other tracks on his arms. Even if I against I is using a fresh 31 gauge needle each time and your boyfriend used a dull 20 gauge (I don't even know you can find needles this big) I am EXTREMELY skeptical that it would add a full months worth of time to how long it takes to seal up. The human body is much more resilient than that. Better yet, why don't you get a picture uploaded so we can definitively tell you its not a track. That way you don't need to waste time describing the mark and worrying that we aren't imagining it right when we tell you its not a track, and that way you don't waste your time trying to identify whether its a track or not.

Let's just put this subject to rest once and for all.

Please allow me to describe the " mark " on my boyfriend's arm. It was a tiny black hole. It looked as if somebody had drilled into the skin something with a very minute needle. The hole was black and it was circular. Suppose you take a sheet of paper and stick a pin/needle into it, you see a tiny round hole right? The hole on my boyfriend's forearm was like that.

Now, i hope you are certain that this mark could never be an injection mark. But I would like to hear it from you. Also, what you are saying is that a black hole will be formed after an injection but will close up in a day or two. Is there any possibility that the round hole would not close up for over 20 days?

Why are you worried about one mark from a month ago? That is the question....

If he were shooting up there would be many track marks. his arm would look like those pics.

Even if he did get really drunk and someone rigged him up at a party a month ago......so what? He probably doesn't remember and it is clearly not a sustained habit.

To answer your thread title......NO, he is not shooting up. Even if it happened once a month ago that does not qualify. Because it was once.

Holy shit..I can not believe you are still going. It is NOT a damn track mark. I'm about to PM a mod and get them to close this thread because we've said the same things 100 times and you still keep coming back for more asking the same questions just with different wordings..I'll say this again, with 910% certainty, injecting does not EVER produce the black hole you are describing. Not with a dull needle, not with a big gauge needle, not with anything. To elaborate further, (something we've all already done multiple times by the way)..there is no possibility that one singular injection would not be completely gone, vanished, like it was never there, after 20 days..there is no chance. It is not a track mark. It is not a track mark. It is not a track mark. Happy? (no of course not, you're going to post again and ask some other stupid question we've already answered.)

First of all, a perfectly drilled hole like you describe is not indicative of injecting. Needles used for injecting don't work like that, its more of a slicing action than a drilling action.

Second, any "hole" should close up within half an hour after shooting. Figure that within a few hours, the any slight inflammation / irritation in the area should go down enough that its no longer readily evident that the skin was broken. At this point, the "hole" should only be evident if you closely examine the area. You would probably say that the hole is gone at this point. Typically it should be another two to four days before the track completely heals. Worst case scenario, assuming the injection site doesn't become infected, it could take a week to completely heal. Anything longer than that is most likely symptomatic of an infection, in which case the surrounding area will be irritated and likely sore.

Your boyfriend's hole does not meet the physical description for a track, it has stayed around far longer than a track ever should, it does not have an infection, and even if somehow everyone on the thread is wrong, you should be wearing protection anyway. What's done is done, no way to turn back time and change things. Just be reasonably cautious when moving forwards.

I agree with scagnattie. You have been asking the same questions numerous times, and you have, on numerous occasions, made double posts with the same question before anyone has a chance to respond. I'm sure everyone on bluelight wishes well for you, but you seem to have made up your mind that the mark on his arm is a track, and there is nothing we can do about it. Hello, lately my boyfriend has not been showing up a lot. Yesterday, I noticed a tiny pinpoint sized black hole on his forearm. Is he shooting up drugs? There was no red mark or a bruise. Just a tiny black hole. I'm confused because I dunno if it was a bug bite or any other natural cause. I am scared to ask him.

Is it possible that he is injecting drugs? Please tell me. Is a tiny black hole in the skin a sign of an injection? It also din't seem to hurt him because I deliberately kept touching that spot looking at his reaction. He din't show any signs of pain.

This picture is of a guy whose hair follicles were extracted for hair transplantation. I dunno if these holes were created by needles but the hole in my boyfriend's arm looked similar to one of the tiny circular holes in the picture. Would an injection produce a hole like this?

FFS, no, it won't look the same. Removing a hair follicle, or any other specimen of tissue is just that, REMOVING it, think of coring an apple.

Pressing a needle into the skin does not core or otherwise excise anything. The tissue is incised and stretched around the object, but given this object is a needle, it simply "seals" back up nearly instantly. Tissue is generally pretty elastic and soft, hence why it seals it up so readily from a needle.

In short; stop freaking out and what you are describing does not sound like a IVI related mark what so ever.

You wont tell if he's shooting up by his arms. Usually once addiction grabs him you'll know. She if he's withdrawing from you or withdrawal from drugs. Do you or him use drugs? What sort? it's easy to go down the path of opiate use - be close with him and talk about it/drugs, if he uses stimulents then maybe bring up injecting as stimulent users will blabb they do more likely.

Ok - 5 years of drug use and IV addiction leaves me bruised, I used to shoot alot of methadone which was hard on the veins.

Okay guys, Now I understand that the skin seals itself as soon as the needle is pulled out and heals quickly. But isn't this the case with new needles and all the cotton immediately after the injection and band-aid.

Into healthy soft tissue? NO! To make it overly simple, picture this. You have a hose.[K, a blood vessel has many layers and is much more complex over all] never the less, you have a hose with liquid that has POS pressure relative to atmospheric in it. You stick something in it. It does not close up and leaves a "hole" What happens to the liquid? Does it just stay there, or does it leave via that "hole" until a)the hole is closed b) there is no more liquid c) the pressure of that liquid relative to external is 0? [I realize I am skipping some major differences between vascular structures and garden hose and a simple liquid and blood, but bear with me, given the thread] If the hole does not close up RIGHT AWAY, you find heavy bruising at a minimum from the blood leaking into the tissue around. Now, it should be commonly apparent that one can not bleed indeterminately. Ergo, something must happen. You can run out of blood and die. The pressure can become zero, you also die. Or, it can via some mechanism, "close" the hole. This can happen a few ways. But, quickly, those injuries which stay "open" tend to produce a similar appearance. You know, a scab, bruising around the injury, inflammation, pain, maybe some visualization of tissue underneath... i.e. think of how any 'open' incision/sharp injury heals... from a small cut to a big surgical incision. Think of those hair follicle collections you showed... that is closer to how it would look if it was 'cored' out and left an open hole.



In short: No, nothing that you described sounds at all like any typical, or for that matter, atypical result from a VP.
