I took a patch out and cut it in two pieces, this patch contained 5.10mg's of fent, put both pieces in my mouth and waited about 30 mins and started to get a nice buzz so i took one piece out because i was feeling super nice already just 30 mins after taking it, fast forward like 2-3 hours and im still getting nailed by this shit, to the point where it has me scared and nodding out really bad, puking, sweating, just generally flushed with opiates (it felt like the fist time i tried oxycodone, bit and chewed half of an 80mg OC and thought i was gonna die), but that was like 10 years ago and my tolerance was decent when i took this patch so i thought i'd be alright, when you suck on the patch does it pretty much release all of the dose in a matter of mins? or what?

no fentanyl is actually kiddie shit. real men take nothing below carfentanil.
joking aside, fentanyl is notoriously potent and to the best of my knowledge the strongest painkiller used on humans for non-anesthesia purposes. all opioids should be consumed with the utmost caution, but the stronger they are the greater the caution should be.

Isn't putting the whole patch(cut in half) a lot to be dosing? I've never messed with patches, but I thought they were dosed out for transdermal delivery not the actual amount of ingredients in the patch if abused. I'm not sure. Maybe someone with more insight could advise for the sake of harm reduction?

You are right^^ stupid move on my part, if i was on xanax or any benzo at the time i would have OD'd for sure. now i just find out you can get seizers from coming off of fent, there goes the last patch i just got. dangerous stuff.

^do you have any actual proof that fent can cause WD seizures? never heard that one before. and yes, it is strong. do you remember how many people died as a result of the heroin that was being cut with fent, the shit was like all lactose with a little fent in it, and it dropped ppl like flies in a number of states. so yes, its potent. that is why the patches dose out micrograms transdermally. as a younger man i used to smoke the duragesic brand name patches before they made the generic without the gel in there and i can tell you, besides IVing large doses of very pure heroin, its up there with times i was pretty much unable to breathe without reminding myself to bc my cns was so depressed.

you guys need to wear the patches. they are not meant to be ingested orally/sublingually. you're wasting them that way.

note: i had a heart attack from wearing 3x50ug/hr patches. before i woke up in the ambulance, i was the highest i've ever been. i wore them because eating them DOESN'T WORK.

i went through about 20 patches orally, each containing 16-some milligrams. i think they were 100 micros an hour or something. granted, they should be used transdermally but fuck me if those things didn't blast me to kingdom come that way and i had a pretty massive tolerance at that point.

it definitely does work, but you are right, fentanyl has a much higher transdermal BA (like, 90% I believe). Also, wearing the patches (rather than placing them in your mouth or extracting them for insufflation, injection or inhalation) is way safer because it releases the fentanyl at a slower rate and its really the only accurate way to measure your dosage.

-and like everyone else says, yes, fentanyl is strong as fuck. There is no opioid available by prescription in the United States that is stronger than Fentanyl (at least, the last time I checked). Even Hydromorphone and Oxymorphone do not come near to Fentanyl's strength. In fact, it's so strong that it's actually been used in chemical warfare.

are you referring to the russians pumping that school full of fentanyl gas during a hostage situation, killing a great deal of hostages and terrorists alike? those crazy ruskis certainly give no fucks.

Only anecdotal. A friend of mine OD'd on Fentanyl and immediately had a seizure. I've never heard of any other opiate causing this besides Tramadol.

yeah, ha, I think there was also an episode of 'Fringe' where they use it to gas out some evil doers-though Fringe has never been based too closely on reality.

Sufentanil is pretty strong. Can't be arsed to check the actual dose equivalency. Techinally it could probably be prescribed (e.g. the same way ketamne can be prescribed as a part of a liniment used topically for example), but not practically. I think it's only used in hospitals during anesthesia.

This was actually 3-methyl-fentanyl if they had used fentanyl they would have had to disperse over 100 kilos (there is an episode of bbc horizon on the subject discussing a few of the candidate/likely analogues) instead of a little les than one.

Did you know that all the deaths could have been prevented? The paramedics weren't informed and therefore didn't have naloxone on hand/know they were dealing with OD'ed hostages

It's twice the potency of fentanyl, and I remember reading about one pharmaceutical company having clinical trials on a nasal spray with sufentanil, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have gotten past stage III and been approved yet. As far as I know they just use it as an anesthetic for patients that are super-opiate tolerant.

Actually you are wrong.
