Is exercising on cocaine a bad idea?

Overall, I am a pretty healthy person. I'm a 34-year-old male with no known health problems and I exercise several times a week.

My exercising habits include walking my neighborhood several times a week. My walks are usually about 5 miles — there and back — and typically take approximately 2.5-3 hours to finish ... so, I think it would probably be safe to assume that my heart's in fairly well condition due to the regular cardio I partake in.

Now my question is this: Would it be okay to do a bump/line of cocaine before engaging in one of my walks?

Also, keep in mind that I live in Florida where it's humid as hell and the average temperature lately has been in the late-80s / low-90s. I'm not sure if that would play a role in the safety of it or not. Please let me know!

You will be fine physically, but I would be cautious of getting into the routine of taking a bump then going for a pleasant walk. If this was me, I could then see my self connecting a healthy activity with doing drugs and would then struggle to partake in this if I didn't have a nice coke buzz going on. The simple pleasure of a nice walk might not have the same appeal without it and using beforehand could turn into a habit. Maybe that's just me though...

I've been told that the most significant threat with stimulants and weightlifting is if you for some reason have cramp or blood pressure drop or other complication, you'd be having steel on your toes or worse place soon, when I was debating why is it so big deal when raving seems to be just fine and I have never had issues raving on stuff.

(I don't really go to gyms)

That's what I was thinking. I would imagine that, as well as High-intensity interval training or something similar would be a lot more dangerous or worrisome for your heart. Just wanted me to make sure though.

Yeah basically anything that massively drives your blood pressure up is not good to risk with stimulants.

Nope it's not just you. That's habituation through association, ie classic operant conditioning, and it's the most common mechanism in developing an addiction.

Yeah, I completely understand where you're coming from... but I think I have enough self-control now days to not make it a habit (at least I hope). The only time I ever do coke is when I go to my friend's house once or twice a month to hang out with him. And I've been pretty consistent with this particular schedule for the past 3 years or so.

But one day after work, I went over there to chill, and we were vibing so harrrrd all-night till like 7 in the morning — even though I had to get up to go the work in a few hours. Of course, since I was pretty geeked when I got home, I couldn't really fall asleep. At all. I maybe got 1 or 2 hours.

And I seriously drive around ALL day at work, too (I'm a full-time delivery driver at Papa Johns) ... so you know how extremely dangerous it is to drive around all day sleep-deprived like that for 8-10 hours a day (those are typically how long my shifts are). I was seriously falling asleep at the wheel; constantly nodding in and out of consciousness while I was driving. It got to the point where it got so bad, I almost veered into the oncoming lane and hit a car head-on twice (it was a one-lane road going in each direction). Then I pretty much fell asleep completely shortly after that and 100% ran over a curb in a neighborhood doing about 35-40 MPH. Of course, the sound of the crash and feeling of my car viciously shaking instantly woke my ass up. Lol

Of course, my solution to this problem was to get another bag of cocaine — and I did a bump and was completely fine. 100% focused. 100% alert. No more minor accidents. No more swerving. I was awake and driving a lot hell of a lot better and safer.

Sorry to ramble so much, but you're completely right — I eventually started to enjoy the feeling of being on coke while at work because not only did it help keep me safe and awake while I was driving but it also made me feel amazing and extremely productive at the same time to actually hustle and get things done. Even though it was just to be for that ONE day so I wouldn't keep falling asleep, it pretty much turned into me doing it the next FIVE days straight at work... so, I absolutely know what you mean. Entirely. Definitely habit-forming — that's for sure.

But I'm hoping I can actually use a little more self-discipline this time around and still be able to enjoy my walks without the use drugs every time because walking truly is a passion of mine and I certainly don't want to ruin it by thinking I need to be high just to do it.

Thanks for bringing that up... it was a very valid point!

I try to wait until after I exercise to do stims, like coffee. or tea.
Walk is less strenuous than jogging. and you should be fine.
I would join you on a bump and a walk. :)

Let's goooooo. Lol. I got some fish scale right now.

Where you at? Maybe we can meet halfway! 😂

I was just down that way.
SW Orlando suburbs. Disney country.
Back in PA where I got coca gum. Best we do in the sticks.
Fish scale sounds good tho. Fire blow in your turf.

Common theme for body builders who also use cocaine to die of heart diseases in their 40s

Personally for me if used just for when taking a long walk, you will be fine. But if you gonna train in the gym or do exercises putting your heart and other organs under unnecessary strain then that's when it's a no go for me. Back in the day when I was competing I use to use that for my last weeks out froma show to just shed that extra little fat and also to get rid of water weight to get dry.

But that also ended twice in a bad way with me being rushed to hospital for severe dehydration and insane heart pulpatations.

So just be careful, keep it to low stress activity and try keep it to not a daily or everytime you walk thing.

I'm no doctor but I would assume it's a horrible idea. My heart feels like it's gona jump out of my chest just sitting on a couch on coke. Surely exercise is just making you more heart attack prone.

Then again I read stories about bodybuilders in the 90's having a crack before the gym.
