Is Ecstasy a hard drug or a soft drug?

Soft Drug is a legal fiction.
This

Ethanol, Nicotine, Mushrooms, LSD, Marijuana, Opioids (sans heroin), Benzos, Cocaine HCL, Rx Amphetamines, MDxx = Good Drugs

Methamphetamines, Heroin, Crack = Drugs which I will never do.
I don't consider ethanol a good drug. BTW cocaine = cocaine, freebase or HCl it's the same chemical going in your blood. It's irritating when people act like they are better than someone who smokes crack just because they snort powder. cocaine HCl turns into cocaine in the bloodstream...

BTW, Rx amphetamine can be the same as dextromethamphetamine HCl off the street. It depends on the quality of the synth.

And I'll agree heroin is pretty bad, but IMO about the same as ethanol. It's quite soothing when you are in a lot of pain.

i find it funny that one of the drugs i consider to be "hard" (tho that really doesnt mean anything, alchohol can be a hard drug if you are drinking when you wake up so you dont have dt's) is meth, and just like cocaine its CII. where as in the UK, heroin is the same classification as morphine. never really got why things like mushrooms and MDMA are CI when meth and coke are CII.

if i was forced to choose id say MDMA is def a soft drug. most users arent doing it all the time since it would basically just stop working. coke and meth and practically all opiates can be used every day multiple times a day no prob with the only worry being tolerance and addiction.

I think the hard/soft classification is fairly pointless. If there is a basis, a sensible division might be into physically addictive and not physically addictive.
Of course alcohol would then have to be classed as a hard drug, which would probably not go down well with Anheuser Busch and all the rest.
