I am thinking of doing some dmt,
Is it good for you, I mean can it help with low level depression.
I have been weaning of benzos, and oxys,
doing well I think but want to make a shift into a healthier place.
I feel dmt might help.
I have used it before and was great.

It can be uplifting in the sense that you feel a great sense of release and consequent relief but I wouldn't go so far as to say that it can remedy clinical depression.
You mention low levels of depression, well it depends on where that comes from. If it has a reason you can work on, then DMT can be therapeutic although in smoked form it often goes so fast that it is hard to really get a lasting message other than: BLAM! There is no self! The universe is only made of energy that is love!
Oral DMT, yes that could work.

Tripping in general can also make your mind more convoluted if you are getting increasingly confused, the best remedy for that is limiting the input of stimuli in your life and just letting a good amount of time go over it. Usually that allows things to be brought up like a desire of where you want to go in life.

Other than this I am not sure what you are asking. You partially answer your own question if it has positive sides to it... but 'is it good for you'... like eh how exactly? :D

I was hoping dmt might some how help to rebalance the brain a bit. My and my bf booth got stresses and feel that our over use of coke benzos oxys has left us a bit low and un motivated.
I want to look at diet exersise, maybe supplements etc. but Last year i took DMT and felt it really made me feel positive for awhile. I am after some sort of kick start out of the blues I suppose.
I have not heard that Dmt can damage the brain chemicals that give you joy, comfort, etc.
I was hoping it might even be good for the brain.
Sorry this all sounds a bit niave but I dont even know much about brain function. I just feel instinctively that self medicating is increasing our problems,
And i recall DMT being benifecial before, but I was in a happier frame of mind.

I would not advise using DMT. I understand there is a peak to be reached, one way beyond sober human imagination and I enjoy every bit of the majestic psychedelic experience, but if I had access to DMT I'd try to 'restrain' myself to having super-short normal-strength trips. I would never go into a full-blown DMT trip. I have heard several people mention their depression vanishing but their anxiety going way high. Both can be devastating, of course.

Although I wouldn't do it myself at anything other than a laughable dose, I can only try to imagine what the DMT universe is like at any dose. Don't think there aren't any risks, because there are. Many. Having said that, have fun... the emotions you experience on a DMT trip are orders of magnitude beyond any other. :)

Oh and I wouldn't use it to 'balance your brain.'

Sure it can make you feel 'positive' for a while, or 'negative,' but you are modifying your brain in a really crude way (although DMT must seem amazingly clean and I am telling you, face to face, it is a drug like any other, tryptamines such as LSD, phenethylamines such as mescaline, alcohol such as alcohol. They damage the brain in very unique ways, but they all have their own share in the damage they cause. Death of brain cells is just a small part of brain damage. While the people here may tell you nothing bad will happen and your brain will be normal within a few weeks, I would count my prayers if I came out feeling ok. I really wouldn't take more than a regular tripping amount, as a few minutes of more 'normal' tripping would be fun yet pretty safe. Organic brain damage doesn't equal actual brain damage... I'm not saying don't do it but fuck a lot of bluelighters think it's safe or good for you, and it isn't (I won't reply to replies to this comment, unless it's from OP).

If your trip(s) turn out to be good, you'll probably laugh at this comment... it's not addictive but it still has ways to suck you into its world... ;) Don't laugh at this... one day, you may have a bad trip. Know what that means? I hope so.

Peace and love, have good trip!
Good luck man!

I wouldn't say that DMT is necessarily good for you... or necessarily bad for you. The possible benefits and possible risks would be tied up in what - if anything - you gain with use for better or worse. I doubt it would be useful for any physical issues (possibly related to withdrawal from other drugs and so on) but it might help in dealing with the emotional side of withdrawal. Or it might exacerbate the problems. Or it might just make you giggle and see pretty things for a few minutes.

Like all psyches there's no real guarantee of getting any particular outcome. I would, however, characterise DMT use as being more likely to be a positive influence than a negative one for most people and with moderate use. It may well help clear the cobwebs of coming out of an addiction and kickstart a new (and hopefully brighter) perspective. Psyches in general certainly did with me. But there's definitely no guarantee. The diet and exercise/lifestyle type changes would almost certainly be beneficial. If it were me I would also see if DMT helped. But that's just me and I tend to think the potential positives outweigh the potential negatives with most psyches and especially with DMT as it seems amongst the least likely to trigger any prolonged or serious negative consequences.

That's a long-winded way of saying I would do it but I wouldn't assume it was automatically gonna be a Good Thing but the chances are it may well be, imo, ime, oobe, lsd, etc. Or it may not be that great but probably wouldn't hurt anything too much. Who said fences make uncomfortable chairs?

If you enjoy DMT then it'll be good for you. It's about as simple as that really. There's no magic bullets in life - you won't take DMT and suddenly never be unhappy again. Life isn't like that. But an hour or two of oral DMT is a fucking fantastic experience, tho it can be a little uncomfortable with vomiting.

Mushrooms and moclobemide is a full-blown DMT trip with no nausea and 2-3 hours longer peak if that's any use to you.

this is smoking dmt, about 20 min trip, then seems to fade uot reall nice and ggigly.
JUst surch for some joy and a bit of a boost I suppose,
thanx for your comments.

Is it good for you? hmm... We'll to start of, there is the potential for say, increased heart rate, raised blood pressure, release of certain chemicals like cortisol, and like with all psychedelics the the potential for psychosis or precipitating a latent disorder does exists (though, the number of reported psychosis's for your traditional psychedelics is extremely minimal). However, DMT has been used for thousands of years with minimal complications other than the ignorance of those who try and stop the use of such wonderful substance, and those who don't have respect for the drug. Caution does need to be taken with experience, just like with any psychedelic drug, but I find DMT to be vary incapacitation (only have smoked it) for any real potential harm to yourself from moving to be minimal. Even in a rough experience, DMT aways seems to want to let you down nice and easy. Nothing like that wonderful afterglow. DMT also has a fairly forgiving attitude to eyeballing drugs. Now It is never really appropriate to so, especially for compounds active under the 100mg range, but I've never had a bad experience even with a +/-10-15 mg error likely to result.

am gonna try to get myself fit for it, if you know what i mean.
i want to use it as an oppertunity to take a spiritual step, even if it only a short term one. caution is the word.
thank you bx
