Title pretty much sums it up. I can't find a really straight answer on Wiki. I am guessing it is stronger than Regular Codeine Phosphate.

stronger, some say 1.5x-2x stronger, you will just have to try it for yourself.

Mu-Receptor wise, it's affinity is stronger and it has a longer half-life, but I'm one of those who enjoys Codeine much more and I find it stems cravings much better.
It seems that DHC is less sedatory than Codeine, so maybe that's why I prefer it.
As the above poster stated, you'll have to try both and see which fits you best.

Hydro is vastly superior. I haven't done enough DHC to give you a real estimate of how much more potent, but the subjective high is far better.
I was taking DHC when I traveled to Lisbon. It's OTC there. I was taking 80 mg oxy/day and ran out and the only thing I could get was boxes of DHC OTC. Amazingly, 300 mg DHC 2-3x day was enough to negate any oxy wd AND give me a very nice buzz. I was thinking, wtf! Regular codeine cough syrup there was NOT as potent.
So yes, DHC is stronger.
